The bible of oil is the World Statistical Report published by BP each June. It’s a huge spreadsheet. Go get it. And it comes out next month so you’ll be getting it again.
The number for Russia is 108 billion barrels.
KSA lists at 297B, Iran at 158B, Iraq at 145B, Kuwait at 101B.
Canada 168B and Venezuela 304B.
US 69B.
First thing to do is look at KSA back 2005 through 2016. It sat at 265ish Billion barrels. Every year. They were extracting 10 million bpd then or 3.65B barrels/year. Every year. But the reserves did not decline by that much. KSA is as thoroughly explored as anywhere. They were not finding 3.65B of new oil every year to hold reserves at 265B. It’s bogus.
Ditto Iran, Iraq and Kuwait. OPEC allocates production quota based on reserves. If a country declares XX reserves, they get commensurate production quota. And they get bragging rights of sorts, particularly Sunni Iraq vs Shiite Iran. So you generally are wise not trusting those numbers. They will spend not a penny on exploration but still declare huge increases in reserves, just because someone else did.
The US is quoting liquids that largely is not crude. Condensate. NGLs, whatever they can get to flow from fracked rocks. Then they extrapolate that upwards and declare there is 60B barrels out there. Probably not. Probably not close to that.
Venezuela has very viscous Orinoco oil to go with a much smaller quantity of conventional 28ish API liquids. They get 300B declares but it will never flow. Largely the same thing of Canada’s tar sands near Edmonton. Production is nearly impossible to scale.
And so, we’re left with Urals high diesel content oil.
Now then, select another tab on that spreadsheet and you have Gas Reserves. God’s units for gas are Trillion Cubic Meters.
Russia, 37.4. Iran 32.1. Qatar 24.7 . . . . US 12.6. Russia hasn’t even touched the Bazhenov shale yet for oil or gas, and the US is drilling 1000s of wells over shale locations to get trivial amounts per day . . . for the 2 whole years the well produces.
It is ABSURD to have chosen this enemy.
Wherever they’re based, either in Ukraine or in Poland, will surely become “a most tempting target” for a Russian tactical nuke.

They already used a Patriot battery to destroy an entire inbound Russian strike package over Russia. Just wiped it from the sky. Russia is weak and has no hope against NATO quality weapons.
Its COMPLETELY ABSURD to say we "chose this enemy". Finland is not joining NATO because it "chooses" Russia as an enemy. Finland realizes that Putin in invading and annexing Ukraine, broke numerous international treaties, and has made Russia a dangerous imperialistic rogue state, especially to its neighbors.
Finland has no oil or gas. Nothing else matters.
It is popular to imagine casualty counts of a full scale entire inventory nuclear exchange.
Imagine, rather, the casualty count of no food transport when oil is scarce. Governments come and go. Death by starvation is forever. Finland will put not a single calorie on NYC tables if there is no transport.
