Former President Trump claimed Tuesday that his potential future administration would reach a deal on abortion that "the whole country" would be okay with.
"Now DeSantis, or Ron DeSanctimonious as I call him, he came out with the six weeks. Other people agree with it. And a lot of people don't," Trump said in an interview with Newsmax. "We're in a position now – and I'm going to be leading the charge – we're in the position now where we can get something that the whole country can agree with, and that's only because I got us out of the Roe v. Wade where the pro-life people had absolutely nothing to say."
When pressed further, the GOP presidential candidate asserted that he is in a "very powerful negotiating position" following the reversal of Roe v. Wade, echoing previous statements when asked about his beliefs. . .

I wish our side wouldnt make this an issue. It was the main issue in the midterms and we know how well that went. We always lose on it. And every election cycle the dems march out abortion as the top issue. Those evil republicans “want to take away your healthcare” “dont care about womens rights”. Lets talk about the economy, border, china. Things that actually matter to most.
Those are terrific conservative American accomplishments.
But when a true issue of the religious right (the founders of America and the only hope for America— Revival) when the Life issue is here before us, we see Trump’s core is himself, not G-d. Negotiating the unborn. And showing a profound ignorance of the Constitution as well.

Trump sticking his nose into State affairs after it’s been settled is because he’s trying to one up DeSantis.

Trump signed 220 E.O.s to put his policies in place.
All were undone by Biden’s second day in office.
Trump is either unable or unwilling to work with Congress to get Laws passed with staying power.

If Trump wins another 4 year term our enemies will wait him out, if the Left hold the Senate, nothing will get through and Trump will once again sign E.O.s to push through his policies.
All could be easily undone by the next President.

I guess I might be what you call a “true believer”, but this might be the deal breaker with me and Trump. It is a really dumb move on Trump’s part because he’s going to lose a lot of votes who are pro life.

Its a stupid comment, because abortion is a state issue not a federal.
Because it’s not his responsibility to inject himself into the matter.
The issue has been ruled on and decided by the Supreme Court.

The states issue birth certificates, death certificates. They define life.
The US Constitution gives no power to the Feds to define this. Only a Constitutional Amendement could legally change the status quo at the Fedeal level. There is no agreement on such a Constitutional Amendment and such an Amendment is politically impossible in our lifetime.
Yes, by inserting the federal gov’t into the issue, it opens up a future administration to expand abortion again nationwide.

If President Trumo understood Federalism, he would understand that there is nothing to negotiate at the Federal level as discussed in the article. Perhaps is talking about a proposed Constitutional Amendment regarding abortion?

There is NO law, NO President, and NO governor who EVER will stop abortion! Abortions will continue forever unless and until people’s HEARTS are changed.
That’s why I think we should change our focus to saving the First Anemdment, and protect religious freedom. Once Christianity is prohibited (and it’s happening NOW), people won’t have the opportunity to hear the Gospel. If hearts are given to God, abortion will take care of itself.
Let RD and PDJT focus on the root cause.
