I once heard it said by some expert that there are only two really good, serious police forces, London and NYC. Guess we don’t have any, anymore.

Like the bad old days. Decades ago, when I was living in NYC during the bad old times (pre-Giuliani, worst of all during Dinkins), a white nurse was kidnapped by a black sex offender and dragged into a vacant building on the Upper West Side (near the former public library where I used to go as a kid), tortured, raped and murdered.
People saw her being kidnapped and ran to a cop car parked on Broadway and the cops cruised around to the street while the creep was holding her by the hair and dragging her off and she was trying to get away. He told them she was his girlfriend and they were having a fight, which was the same thing he had told a truckdriver who had stopped. Then the cops drove off and he dragged her into the building and raped, tortured and killed her.
I’m sure the cops knew perfectly well that this was not the truth, and even if it had been, they should have intervened. But he had the sacred color protection so they were afraid to get involved. Remember, this was after Tawana Brawley’s lies and Al Sharpton’s racial incitement, which took down a lot of innocent police officers, including one who killed himself, because Tawana started accusing him of being involved in it and Al Sharpton and the press ran with it.
So even then the police didn’t dare touch a black perp, and I notice Al Sharpton has surfaced again with the loony who died on the subway after a Marine tried to protect his fellow passengers from him. Al must need money...but he’s already super-wealthy from his extortion over the years.
Giuliani and his police chiefs totally changed this. Where is our new Giuliani?
I still see people wearing them inside their cars while by themselves.
At one point the killer exited by the fire escape, up to the roof . Saw and was seen by cops presumably, went back inside the apartment.
So there was another entry known to the police, albeit more dangerous than door.
And there are still the bootlickers on this forum who still back these thugs.
