San Francisco restaurant that hosted anti-trans dinner speaks out

An owner of a restaurant that held a private event for the San Francisco Republican Party — the content of which reportedly made a San Francisco Chronicle reporter vomit — told SFGATE in an interview Thursday that he would not have hosted the event if he had known it was going to be as controversial as it turned out to be.

Ho said that speakers included several local right-wing figures, each defined — at least in part — by their activism against transgender individuals in the United States. To put it lightly, according to the piece, the event went off the rails. Ho reported that the local Republican Party initially billed it as “a reasonable conversation for parents who have concerns,” but it instead devolved into general anti-transgender screeds.

Should have held the event at Der Wienerschnitzel. Could have driven up in the Wiener Mobile. It appears that men in San Francisco don’t have wieners but women do
