That poster above stated it succinctly -- this is actually a pretty big loss for Iger, as Galaxy's Edge was his baby (although Chapek built both of them), traffic peaked and is almost in freefall, and Halcyon was just a staggeringly-dumb idea.
So Iger has papered it over with simultaneous release of "You freaks can stay in Kalifornia." Good luck on your next expansion, Bobalu, or are you going to sell the company and ride the platinum parachute...
