Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Names Dennis Kucinich Presidential Campaign Manager

Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. named former Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) as his campaign manager on Thursday, bringing a credible voice of the anti-war movement into his growing team.

In a statement, the Kennedy campaign said:

Mr. Kucinich has long been known as one of the foremost progressive voices in American politics. In 1977 he became, at age 31, the mayor of the city of Cleveland and one of the youngest big-city mayors ever. In 1996 he was elected to the House of Representatives, where he served for 16 years.

During his time in Congress, Kucinich led the effort against the Iraq War and the Patriot Act, and served as the chair of the progressive caucus. He competed in the Democratic Presidential primary in 2004 and 2008. He is the author of several books, including the acclaimed “The Division of Light and Power.”

I would respectfully disagree. The Freepathons have become difficult because the tone of the site has changed. The “Trumpists” are a nasty group. The “Putinists” are even nastier.

The standard rules of behavior are ignored, and moderation doesn’t exist.

A reminder that RFK Jr. is still a dyed-in-the-wool leftist. Let’s not forget this guy embraced the politics of Hugo Chavez and called for imprisonment of those who deny global warming BS.

“Remember that Kucinich had the guts to stand up to Obama.”

Only until Obama let him ride in the big-boy seat on AF-1. That’s all it took for Kucinich to dutifully flip on Obamacare.

Is he? I’ve always thought of Kucinich as someone who could be bought for any reason, much like Biden.>>> I would say no. Very much principled and one of the few that are not commies.

If you don’t mind me asking, what’s your experience with him? Did you live in Ohio while he was part of the scene there? I did.

My recollection is that he was easily bought and sold. He was as liberal as they came back then, too. Of course now, liberal means something even to the left of Kucinich then.

That anyone considers Dennis Kucinich as remotely moderate is surprising to me. I only like RFK, Jr as far as his stance against big Pharma. That’s pretty much it.

And obviously, not a Kucinich fan.
