Ron DeSantis’ Never Back Down Pac lied about New Hampshire Representative Lisa Smart switching her endorsement from Trump to DeSantis. Smart released a statement Tuesday afternoon stating she supports Donald Trump, not Ron DeSantis for president.

Smart’s statement read, “I was so incredibly proud to join many of my colleagues in endorsing President Donald J. Trump last month and my support for him has not changed. I’m dismayed by the games being played by Never Back Down and I will NOT be participating in any activities with Ron DeSantis.”

Trump’s campaign commented on Team DeSantis’ dishonest actions towards Republican voters with a tweet linking Smart’s statement and a caption that read “Community Notes: Fake News. Team DeSantis was caught in a lie. Very shady. Here’s the proof.”

Alex Bruesewitz commented on Team DeSantis’ attempts of deception, writing, “Earlier today, DeSantis’ super pac @NvrBackDown24 claimed a Rep from New Hampshire named Lisa Smart was flipping her endorsement of Trump to DeSantis. Lisa Smart has now come out and said that the DeSantis super pac LIED and she’s with Trump 100%! Team DeSantis is scum!”

New Hampshire GOP primary polling shows Trump holding over a 20-point lead on Ron DeSantis. Trump also recently held a successful rally and CNN town hall in the state. These facts are why many believe Team DeSantis has resorted to lying to the New Hampshire GOP voters.

1.) Try and have a reasonable conversation about the relevant differences between the two

2.) Try to be a peacemaker 3.) Sit back and watch the world burn.
