The Supreme Court declined to immediately block Illinois’s assault weapons and high-capacity magazine bans, leaving them in place, for now.
A gun rights group and gun shop owner asked the justices to pause the law’s enforcement by intervening in the case ahead of an appeals court’s final ruling. The lawsuit also challenges an ordinance in Naperville, Ill., that bans the sale of assault rifles.

Wrong, this was the US Supreme Court. This is in federal court, the Illinois Supreme Court has nothing to do with this case at all.
You’re right, sorry. I thought the Illinois court was hearing a case on it the same day but I was mistaken on that too.
This is why there will be limited skirmishes here and there. Truth be told, all it takes is a dude in a tow truck to confiscate your vehicles, if done properly and carefully. Even if they were to send out an entire division of soldiers, chances are, most will comply. By the time they put boots on the ground, the "owner" of said property will be so demoralized and fatigued that they will throw up their hands and submit. There will be a very, very small percentage of folks who say no, and will die for their beliefs. Good on them. But in a world of yokels who think it's funny to make jokes about losing their guns in a boating accident, I don't have much faith.
