The question is a trap. That is why the media keeps asking it. Answering it is not a winning play whether you believe it or not. It will never be proven.

DeSantis is smarter than Trump. There is no re-hashing 2020.
First, whatever fraud took place has not been proven despite multiple investigations.
Second, DeSantis “fixed” many of the election problems in Florida.
Third, independent voters do not want to hear about 2020....they are suffering from the inflation started by Trump and made worse by Biden.
DeSantis sticks to the issues people care about.
Did anyone ask Trump how many weeks should a woman be allowed to grow a baby before he thinks it is not too severe to murder it?
The phrase, “Nail in his coffin”, comes to mind.

I also think DeSantis can win. He can reach out towards the center like Reagan did, as Reagan had the base locked down.
How can he now reach out towards the center when he has done so many right and far right things as governor. I don’t disagree at all with what he has done for Florida but I can’t see that getting by many center/left leaning voters.

Your logic is solid, your conclusion is almost flawless. The problem is, then we end up with 4-8 years of George Bush. This is the old way of thinking, which has got us here in the first place. Don’t get me wrong, I like DeSantis. I do, but he is a politician. I know beyond any doubt as to how Trump will conduct himself in the Oval Office. I don’t doubt that DS would do good, but he is a politician at the end of the day, and from existing evidence, quite possibly well connected, if not part of, the GOPe.
