LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron has won the state's Republican gubernatorial primary and will face incumbent Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear in the November general election.
Cameron, a rising star in the party, came out on top in a crowded field of 12 Republican candidates that included former U.N. Ambassador Kelly Craft and Kentucky Agriculture Commissioner Ryan Quarles.
His campaign had the backing of former President Donald Trump in a contentious race that served as a proxy fight between the Republican presidential front-runner and a number of other Republican heavyweights, including Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who both backed Craft.

RINOs are sore losers. They will look the other way when Democrats cheat MAGA.
Don’t confuse tlozo with the facts during a good fact-disorted rant.
His head will explode!
With few exceptions like Walker, Trump just picks the one most likely to win, not the conservative. The doofus actually thinks they will support him when they get in office. They never do, they listen to McConnell or GOPe, iow, the ones who write the checks. He wouldn’t know a real conservative if it smacked him up aside his head. He doesn’t bother to take the time to understand the conservative position, he just shoots from the hip. Dawson will be a fine gov, but he won’t be MAGA.
Speaking of doofuses....who is Dawson?
This article is about Daniel Cameron.
hahaha
The Durham report got you down?
I’d say Trump out did the Bush-Clinton-Bush-Obama era with Conservative positions.
That includes those solid conservatives of Bush,Dole,Bush,Dole,McCain,Romney R Presidential timber pre Trump.
God bless President Trump. Get out of the way if you can’t lend a hand. The times they are a changing.
If Andy Beshear (D) is re-elected can we stop following Trump’s candidate picks and realize he won’t win in 2024?
Trump will hoard his money just like in 2022.
You can do whatever you want. Me? I’m supporting Trump - the candidate with the best chance of winning a fair election, and the only one worth voting for.
State Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R), who’s backed by former President Trump, is projected to win Kentucky’s GOP gubernatorial primary, according to The Associated Press.
Craft also won DeSantis’ endorsement Monday, offering an eleventh-hour shot in the arm and shaping up the race to be a minor proxy war between Trump and DeSantis, who are soon anticipated to clash in the Republican presidential primary.

I still perfect DeSantis, for now, but I love Cameron. He could go all the way.
I am on team let the Primary play out, and see who earns it.
Fair enough.
Well, here’s a case where polling definitely did not reflect the actual vote* - though voter participation was VERY low, so not too many conclusions should be drawn.
Cameron was ahead throughout the race, but Craft was showing as within striking distance, at least as of a couple weeks ago she was making decent progress. Quarles was pretty far back and didn’t gain much, tho’ I am surprised he beat Craft ... (Again, that’s just from the polling a couple weeks out.)
Cameron will have a VERY tough time vs. Beshear. Beshear has been smart enough to be not way whacky liberal, has strong support of the teacher’s unions, and will be supported by most anybody with their hand out for state money.
Can we trust Cameron? He’s a Mcconell stooge
DeSantis failed her, and more unfortunately, in Jacksonville. Not a stellar day for the challenger.
He’s the only that kept Beshear from turning kentucky into a police state during covid.
“A big thank you to President Donald J. Trump for his support and his endorsement of this campaign,” Cameron said. “Let me just say, the Trump culture of winning is alive and well in Kentucky.”“The new religion of the left casts doubt on the greatness of America,” Cameron said. “They embrace a picture of this country and this commonwealth that is rooted in division, that is hostile to faith and that is committed to the erosion of the education system.”
Cameron said Beshear is “resigned to live in a commonwealth where violent crime is high and the workforce participation rate is low.”
“I’m here to tell you tonight that a governor who will not speak out on these issues and who will not stand up for your interests has advocated his responsibility to the commonwealth and is not fit to lead it any longer,” Cameron said.
“Now Mr. Glass recently said that any teacher who expressed concerns about the gender ideology curriculum that’s making its way into our schools, then that teacher should find another job,” Cameron said. “Jason Glass said that those hard-working teachers got to find another job because they won’t buy into the far left’s ideology.”
“Ladies and gentlemen, that’s not the right answer,” Cameron added. “The right answer is that Jason Glass and Andy Beshear need to find another job and we will help them do that in November.”
"How did that goobernor Brassiere ever get elected in KY"
- When a woman of Christian conscience was imprisoned by a Federal judge in KY -- by the hillbilly, dumb-as-a-stump son of baseball HoF Jim Bunning *spit* -- for refusing to issue a same-sex wedding license ( Miller v. Davis ), it pulled Bevin's 2015 campaign for Goobernor out of the ashes.
- Quick history: after laughably being curb-stomped by Miotch in 2014 for Miotch's Senate seat, Bevin grabbed the Goobership as the booby prize, but once he became Goobernor, angrily morphed into "Big Daddy", insinuating that casino goers were 'suicidal' (but the investment firm Bevin worked for, was all-in on casinos).
- In 2019, Bevin inexplicably fired his Lt. Governor, a black woman, thus inciting the ferals in Lou and Lex for revenge.
- That November, those 5,189 votes that Bevin lost by, could have easily been scraped back a week before the election, had Bevin just made neutral noises like "let the voters decide" on casinos. "It's the casinos, stupid." Nope, he went on radio in both markets and doubled down. "Casino goers in KY have the highest rate of suicide, it's one a day." Of course, it's a lie.
- Bevin suppressed his own turnout in one of the intentionally worst-run goobernoratorial incumbent campaigns in this 21st Century. Bevin wanted out, plain and simple, and Miotch moved too late to replace him. Bevin wanted to give Miotch the finger by electing a Democrat governor. That is a fact, jack. Bevin, to this day, is a megalomaniac who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near politics or a political campaign.
- Brassiere has NO chance of being re-elected. Zero. None. Nada. Zip. Zero. That is why the GOP primary had a dozen! Cameron won the primary, he will be the next Goobernor, and not only that, he will be Miotch's replacement in the Senate. The only thing left is Thunderdome between Quarles and Craft to be his Lt. Gov.
- Proof that this goobernorship flips back to the GOP -- Brassiere has visited The White Hospice twice in two years and both times went azz-in-hand begging for a czarship when he is shit-canned on Nov. 7. But his political career is over.
