It’s clear that the Democrats and their corporate media partners believe President Biden’s best chance of remaining in the White House after 2024 is to assure that his Republican opponent in the general election is former President Trump. To that end, they have launched the political equivalent of the old “pump and dump” investment scam in which fraudsters disseminate false information to artificially drive up the price of a stock and suddenly sell off their own shares when its “value” peaks.
The process of pumping up Trump’s stock began on March 30, when the news broke that Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had convinced a grand jury to indict him. The dubious legality of the indictment combined with breathless media coverage had the desired effect. The percentage of Republicans who favored Trump for the 2024 presidential nomination immediately shot from the low 40s to well over 50 while Trump’s lead over his closest competitor for the GOP nomination, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, doubled.
When all the Sturm und Drang associated with the Bragg indictment began to fade from the news, the corporate media did its best to keep pumping up Trump’s stock. Countless news outlets reported the “surprising resilience” of Trump’s rebound in the polls. This wave of stories culminated in the recent Washington Post/ABC News survey ostensibly showing Trump leading Biden by 6 points in a hypothetical 2024 matchup. According to the write-up in the Post, the survey contained even more bad news for our aging Chief Executive:

The CNN townhall was no accident and probably went as expected by the leftist media. Trump gloriously dominated and fed red meat to the base which will help him in the primaries. Unfortunately he likely came across to many independents and women as a petulant child which will hurt him in the general election.

Let’s see if the Trump GOP adversaries decide to help out, and I would hope that Karl Rove brings his white boards with him to those townhalls.
The problems with this speculation about this Democrat plan are two fold. Trump’s voters no longer care what the press or Democrats will do in the next election. Second, the Democrat’s vote fraud machine from 2020 will not go away out of buyer’s remorse over Biden.
I think as the country falls apart, everything will backfire on them.
A lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. The anti-Trump sentiment then was nothing like the unbelievable mindless anti-Trump frenzy of hate that exists among the Left now.
If we just vote for the moderate GOPe candidate that kowtows to the Democrats - then this time we can win!
They believe the only way they can beat Trump is if he is in jail - preferable on sedition charges. This would be even easier if we were at war and they could charge him with going against American interests.
By then, all the cards would be on the table - the only question is - how are they played and who is bluffing.
For America - this is unchartered territory - and being played for all the marbles.
One would think the holy lawyer, saint Desantis would have some remarks about the Durham report..
If the Democrats weren't scared to death of Trump, they wouldn't have had Alvin Bragg file phony charges against him, the FBI wouldn't have raided his home and New York wouldn't have changed their laws to allow the E. Jean Carroll lawsuit.
Desantis has commented on the Durham report. Maybe you should have checked before commenting.
And… I do not watch tb news. And thus far no saint Desantis supporters have posted the holy grail
Trump was the petulant person when he first got into the race. He is much better at being the needed choice..after biden has made enemies with his inyourface destruction.
biden is making enemies with every bus load of illegals brought to a city or suburb. they are angry at what he has done with their surroundings.. it isn’t safe. they are putting illegals in classrooms in El Paso.. in hotels and moving veterans out...
this country has been a safety net for all who come. it has been the greatest nation. people have to be awakened from their comfort.. and bus loads of illegals from all over the world and not knowing who or what they are.. is waking people up in a hurry. everything biden has done has been Wrong and detrimental to all of us. it won’t go well at all! by November, it will be the dems last mistake... they are understimating the people who run his country...the workers who keep things going. .
