So much of the political so-called analysis [dom & int’l] revolves around the author’s mind reading powers, delving into the ‘hearts and minds’ of the subject to divine the real purpose of their statements, ignoring the plain meaning of the words spoke and, coincidentally, done in a way that parallels their own agenda.
How about the dude was blowing off steam, talking sh*t, as would be common and ordinary among tough men [sorry ladies & trannies, real men bond by talking sh*t to each other] in a high stress situation & after seeing many under his command perish, especially from from a non-military guy.
