A Manhattan jury in a trial of dubious fairness, staged in a district that overwhelmingly votes Democrat, recently awarded a Trump rape accuser with damages for defamation and sexual assault regarding an incident that allegedly took place back in 1996 in a department store dressing room. Without going into the details, the story — which Trump has adamantly denied ever happened — is highly suspect at best.
The defamation award, curiously, was due to Trump’s denial of the rape accusation, although the jury did not find Trump liable for the rape itself. This would seem to be a contradiction in the jury’s findings, but never mind that. Justice was served! We wash our hands and move on.
The jury award based on the flimsiest personal testimony from an unhinged lunatic who thinks that rape is “sexy” has apparently incentivized all sorts of new allegations to come out of the woodwork, as evidenced by allegations of sexual misdeeds committed by Trump while he was serving as President from a former White House staffer and current host of The View.
The current crop of allegations is fully anonymous. Pressed by Jake Tapper, Alyssa Farah Griffin refused to offer any names. There has been no statement from any alleged victim, nor has the identity of one even been made public.

Yes. In the 90’s they did a study in the military looking at Rape claims. More than 50% of rape claims were false. Everyone needs to think about that, what effect that could have in destroying someone’s life, and that many such claims are total nonsense done for personal purposes. IMHO, after watching the Supreme Court stuff against Clarence Thomas and Kavanuagh, I believe it’s just lies.
People need to reconsider Justice. I think that a false accuser should do the maximum sentence of the person they accused, if it can be proven to be false. I think any prosecutor who violates Brady material should do the time of the accused as well.

The news media has been trying to make themselves the story instead of doing their research and putting out real facts and telling the story. When did we start allowing the news media to become social media? I quit listening to the news...even the local news. You can’t believe much of what they put out there anyway.

I remember reading a while back that upwards to 60% of rape accusations are false.
Women have, and will lie about being raped; the usual reason is that she has been laying around and doesn’t want her husband, father or boyfriend to know about it and so she accused some guy she doesn’t know or barely knows, of rape.
“Anonymous sources” ... yeah, sure.
