Just as I thought, he agrees with the persecution.

Provide evidence, please.

I’m referring to the actual incident where Penny and Neely interacted on the subway, dude — not some prior incidents.

Penny can’t claim self defense in this case just because Neely attacked someone else six months earlier.

“Desantis goes with the wind of public opinion.”

Yes, this was an easy call for Captain Courageous.

Penny didn’t have to be aware of Neely’s prior arrest record, but he apparently had good reason to believe that Neely presented a threat to the passengers on the train. Many of the other passengers also considered him a threat. Neely’s criminal record makes it clear that he had a history of violent behavior, and makes the Marine’s actions that much more justifiable.

This is not the time to decide the case. I’m not saying Bragg will find the right outcome. It could very well be biased when all is said and done. But let’s wait and see until we have all the facts.

No harm in donating to his defense of course.

Silence as evidence? Sorry, that dog don’t hunt. I want to hear it from the horse’s mouth.

“Be thankful. If it wasn’t for Trump ragging on DeSantis most of the country wouldn’t know who that dullard is. “

Desantis is a stupid politician....Wait and see.

Because, for some odd reason, we have a sea of Trump hater, short memory folks on this forum now....

DeSantis is the guy, who the more you get to know him, the more you dislike him....

If he were across the street holding a rally, I wouldn’t go to it.....

Desantis is a stupid politician.

I’m sure that Floridians would agree. I only wish that my governor was as stupid.

Actually I see the opposite. Maybe what you’re reading are DeSantis supporters responding to all the anti-DeSantis comments.

Weird. Are we reading the same thread? I see the Trump-hate posts starting at #5 and #6 on this thread without provocation and continuing on throughout.

I’m not easily gaslighted. I know what I’m reading. Nice try. 😏

I do like Thomas Sowell, though.

Umm… The police say they showed up in 6 minutes. Let’s wait for more reliable news before hanging the guy. Other passengers are calling him a hero.

You said he had no weapon. He threatened to kill people. People are killed by “unarmed” criminals regularly. But you believe “he had no weapon” means he’s harmless, when just last year he had broken the eye socket of an 86-year old woman when “he had no weapon.”

I tend to agree with you, and surprisingly, it looks like we’re taking the most heat for saying this.

It sounds like Neely was making a lot of menacing threats, but he didn’t physically assault anyone.

I really fail to see, why the guy was held in a choke hold that long?

I don’t think the Marine intentionally tried to kill Neely.

What are the charges?

If the charges are murder in the first degree, then the guy will be acquitted.

If the charges are negligent homicide, I think he’ll be convicted.

“.....broke the eye-socket of an 86 year old.....etc...”

Did he hit anyone? Did he do anything other than verbally abuse and menace people?

Man, I’m all for defending people who defend themselves, but here’s my thought...

I’m asking this to EVERYONE OUT THERE ON THIS FORUM, WHO SAY THE GUY WAS PERFECTLY IN HIS RIGHT TO CHOKEHOLD THE NEELY TO DEATH:

What if it the Marine had a concealed license permit, and pulled out his gun, and shot Neely dead? Based on your and others here, the Marine was in his right.

We the People must protect each other on the street and in the courtroom.

I will not convict anyone of felony for taking out the trash.

So you think he intended to kill him, making it first-degree murder?

Make up your mind here. You seem to want to have it fifty different ways.
