DeSantis team claims Trump supporters will switch allegiance when he enters the race

With Florida governor Ron DeSantis expected to launch his presidential campaign in the coming weeks, there has been much speculation regarding whether or not he will be able to draw support away from the Republican frontrunner, Donald Trump, and emerge as a fresh new alternative for the party.

Members of DeSantis' team have argued that, despite continously trailing the former president in the polls, the governor's base of support will expand as soon as he officially declares that he's running.

According to Politico, DeSantis' team is confident that their guy has what it takes to become the nominee, with gubernatorial campaign manager Generra Peck suggesting that "everyone knows the majority of the Republican Party wants to move on."

DeSantis' spokesperson David Abrams highlighted the fact that Trump took to attacking the governor personally and professionally long before any talk of a presidential run was openly discussed. He suggested that the former president "knows that his greatest threat is Ron DeSantis."

Of course, DeSantis made all the moves of a man seeking to become president save for actually announcing.

[cut]

DeSantis "has clearly made the calculation he needs to be a good alternative for Trump diehard voters out there."

Trump Over reacted...

I believe the one who over reacted is the one wearing the mask.

Shut Down the Country

Trump left the shutdown to the states. DeSantis chose to lock down Florida.

The only reason DeSantis would still be running is that the establishment has assured him Trump won’t be on the ballot because of a criminal prosecution that is in the works. That makes DeSantis complicit with them.

Check the eyes on the guy behind the mask. Would you buy a used car from him?

In that scenario either way, Ron loses.

I think in any scenario Ron loses which makes me wonder why he’s running.

There are two chances of this happening. One is fat and the other is slim.

Thank you to whomever removed ncalburt……

And others as well who repeatedly crap all over the forum barking the same nonsense and ignoring any genuine responses to their barking. If one acts like a libtard who continuously moves the goal posts when asked a genuine question - they don’t belong here.

Many of us read comments to either learn or have a genuine debate, the carnival barkers discourage that.

He was screeching his Trump hate on another thread as well. Maybe that was the one that did him in. He seemed to be getting more unhinged by the minute.

He’s also quite an illiterate lil’ fella.

I’d never noticed him around here before.

“… Yes, I know that they’re both FL residents now and can’t be on the same ticket. Trump can move to NY on a moment’s notice, just like Cheney moved back to WY from TX just before being nominated.”
**********************************************************************

Trump would be insane to move back to NY with its mobs of corrupt judges and prosecutors. Maybe temporarily to Tennessee.

He’s been barking the same crap here for weeks. I’ve tried asking him genuine questions about his ‘claims’ and he never responded.

I’ve experienced this repeatedly with the DeSantis carnival barkers. As of a month ago, they are being purged slowly but surely. Thus the forum is getting better.

It’s fine to disagree but purposely stirring the pot helps no one.

Yeah, he’s quite the little yipyapper. I posted Post 40 - to the OP and the little yipyapper came screeching from the backyard, yipping and yapping to beat the band trying to nip at my ankles, but he couldn’t quite reach them.

This is what triggered the yipyapper so badly and caused him to go on about my “seething hatred for DeSantis…” (what a drama queen. LOL)

I like a lot of what DeSantis does in Florida, but he appears to be hanging out with a bad crowd from DC.

That. That was all it took to unhinge the lil’ fella. 😄

they are allowed to think whatever they want, but I doubt if many Trump supporters will make the switch.
