RFK Jr. Says Ron DeSantis Invited Him to Breakfast, Revealed Plan to Burn the National Institutes of Health 'to the Ground'

In a conversation with Forgetting Sarah Marshall actor Russell Brand, Kennedy revealed that he openly communicated with Donald Trump's likely primary opponent and discussed the 2024 election.

We talked about him possibly running for the presidency, and I said, how will you handle the NIH?" Kennedy told Brand on his Rumble talk show with 1.1 million subscribers. "And he said: 'I'll burn it to the ground.' You know, I understand the impulse. But I think I can have a more surgical impact on these agencies."

Kennedy didn't give details on when the conversation occurred or where the meeting was.

In February, DeSantis appeared on Fox News with conservative talk show host Mark Levin where he said he "would have respected" the NIH, as well as the Centers for Disease Control, before the pandemic but claimed that he became convinced that they were more interested in controlling people rather than health.

"If you look at like all these entrenched bureaucrats, CDC, NIH, FDA — they need to be cleaned out because they totally failed and they are not advocating for the best interests of the people of this country," DeSantis told the Fox News host.

DeSantis allegedly made a reference.

It was not to his own thought.

What politicians say to get attentions and what they actually do are two different things.

Besides pleasantries, possible opposing candidates probably wouldn’t converse.

DeSantis wants to investigate vaccine side effects:

My wife and I had a conversation with a couple who were visiting from Australia. First, they were whining about the brutal lockdowns that they had to live through. Then they said that they had each had seven vaccinations including the boosters. This was more than what was required for them. Then they started making excuses for their political leadership and saying that they had no choice because it was such a deadly disease.

I told them that my wife and I had both had Covid and that we now had natural immunity. They both backed away from us in horror with their faces revealing their fear. They obviously had no confidence in the vaccine's efficacy and the propaganda had turned them into perpetually fearful 70 something babies. So much for Australia's image of a nation made up of Crocodile Dundee rough and tumble types.

Funny story. What idiots. I know two people who got Covid, both had all shots because their work required it. My very smart MD didn’t recommend any shots at all because he and I both believe in natural immunity.

Nope they wouldn’t and luckily DeSantis’ statement is perfectly stated if you read his direct quotes. Yes reading is old fashioned I know. Article titles get you all gooey inside.

Yep. Any agency that starts with “National” needs to go.

So have a lot of Freepers. Doesn't mean they still think they're a good idea, or would ever get another.

“DeSantis has recruited a host of doctors who are helping him disparage federal health agencies and platform concerns about vaccine safety. Leading the pack is his handpicked surgeon general”

“Ladapo said the risks of vaccinating healthy children ‘may outweigh the benefits.’”

https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2023/03/desantis-antivax-florida-trump

“Since the pandemic’s start, Kline’s medium-sized hospital has admitted 587 children with COVID-19. Twelve have died. Among those was a 15-year-old who died of respiratory and cardiac failure within 24 hours of admission. “All of the deaths we’ve had have been among the unvaccinated,” says Kline. By contrast, the hospital has not treated a single child for a vaccine-related adverse event.”

“entrenched bureaucrats, CDC, NIH, FDA — they need to be cleaned out because they totally failed”

I don’t think that was “perfectly stated” since there was not total failure. I do suspect better (at preventing infection) vaccines could have been created.

Also, I think the effects on young adults (those under age 30) should have been better researched before distribution to young adults - there was time since older adults got vaccination priority.

I totally support this plan, Flatten it and use the prime 70 acres to add more sections to Arlington Cemetery. There is already a subway stop. It is a beautiful campus.

When bureaucrats are benefitting directly financially from the industries or companies that they are responsible for regulating and approving products sold to the public, including those products incentivized by the government, it is corruption. When those bureaucrats and companies hide or disguise safety related data associated the products, it is criminal.

I had to have the jab to go and visit my father before his death. I would not have had it if not for that
