Now I see why DeSimps were terrified of this Town Hall. They knew Trump was going to knock it out of the park. https://t.co/vZrThvqI4J— NN (@NnPnemck) May 11, 2023

He did an outstanding job, arguably the best Town Hall for a presidential candidate in modern American history.

I fully support Ron Desantis throwing his hat into the ring (maybe), that is his right as an American.

At the same time, it delights me to heat about Donald Trump “steamrolling” a CNN host. Firstly, he dares to step into what could have been a Lion’s Den of unfriendly propoganda, secondly, Mr. Trump manages to take the sterring wheel away from his Host, in spite of all her carefully prepared questions.

He does this mostly by speaking directly to his audience. Trump is an experienced showman, capable of performing quite well under pressure and spontaneously.
This, he does one day after receiving a jury verdict of guilt for crimes to a woman known to make up sexual fantasies. The average politician would have been devastated, rendered temporarily mute with worry, but not our Donald. He does not retreat and disappear till Labor Day. He just keeps going strong.

Trump absolutely crushed Kaitlan Collins. I don’t know why she agreed to debate Trump in the first place. Wait, what? It was a town hall, not a debate?

I completely hate Biden...and I do love Trump for who he is...but I will guarantee the day after the next election everyone will be saying “but..but..what happened??!!”.

John Cardillo? Who’s that? Serious question. I’ve never heard of him.

Youngkin wore a blue suit and a red tie to the Reagan Library to deliver his speech.

Call me silly, juvinile, or just plain dumb, but I think Glen Youngkin supports what President represents.

If he doesn’t, then his career in politics is dead.

Man she tried to get under his skin. She almost did it when they stood up but he kept it under control. It was funny because he couldn’t look at her or he knew he’d lose it.

All that said I agree with everyone he did great. Hope that moves the needle even more. I kinda love it wasn’t on Fox....lol

By giving Trump this opportunity it is clear that CNN wants Trump to be the 2024 GOP nominee. I have no idea why else they would have done it. If Republican voters loved Trump’s performance, then their plan worked to perfection. Based on this thread their plan did work to perfection.

trump’s CNN town hall performance pretty much broke the anti-trump trolls here, too ...

Trump has broken both Team Desantis & the Dems tonight. Write this date down. This is the date Trump overwhelmingly won the 2024 election.

Usually you only see this kind of gushing from fountains. One good TV appearance doesn't win an election 18 months from now. Putting together his own ballot-harvesting system won't be nearly as much fun for Trump as tonight's session was, but that's what can win him the 2024 election.

The prez who locked us down, gave big pharma billions? Yes to more of that, huh.
Ridiculous. He gave them mail in ballots and a bumpstock ban.
He took many freedoms and gave power to big pharma and the WEF.
He can talk all he wants. The people who died alone in homes and hospitals without their family and without the humanity of a funeral are forgotten and even worse, betrayed by a bunch of folks who claim the love of family as part of their platform.

Could DeSantis have handles a hostile CNN host in a town hall like that?

Maybe, but not like Trump did.

Why the disconnect between AOL and this ‘John Cordillo’ guy? Did they watch the same thing?

I suspect AOC is telling the truth (She’s not a liar, she’s just stupid)

I suspect Cordillo is a concern troll... “I supported Trump before, BuuuUUuuuuut, I’m concerned that....[blah blah blah]”

If I were the Meatball from FLA, I’d be having second thoughts about entering
the 2024 GOP Primary. Best to wait until 2028 Meatball.
