McConnell predicts US aid will flow to Ukraine ‘for a good deal longer

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) says U.S. military and economic aid will continue to flow into Ukraine despite calls from some in his party for the United States to pull back from the war.

The future of U.S. support for Ukraine in its war against Russia has been clouded by some uncertainty since Republicans took control of the House in last year’s midterm election and Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) pledged there would be no “blank check” for Ukraine if Republicans gained the lower chamber.

.
Like two days ago, there was an article that the Republicans in the Senate wanted Spending Limits. I pointed out the folly, and they would give Ukraine twice what they request.

Took 48 hours to blow that laughable article out of the water.

10 years minimum to Fund Ukraine, their pensions, the Skimming, and Off-shore accounts.

Same. This isn't WW2 and I'm not letting my son get drafted when WW3 begins to sacrifice himself for the corrupt USA government and Ukrainian oligarchs.

So you admit the goal (and cause) of this war is to finish Russia.

Mitch McConnell undermined Trump when it came to the border wall.

Send your kids Walmart job applications because they won’t be getting good jobs supplying American energy to Europe if Russia’s genocidal invasion of Ukraine is successful.

This Russian colonialist war of choice is, of course, all about Russian revanchists trying to Make Russia Great Again.

The goal of conservatives is Making America Great Again. Kicking Russian corruption and influence out of Europe to the benefit of American and the US economy is certainly compatible with that.

Yes, because those are the only career options. Walmart or providing energy to Europe. 🙄

Do you Ukes really think anybody’s buying in to such propaganda?

I see this invasion as having woken up the West and our allies and NATO and the U.S. and is helping us become stronger and better armed, more united, with increased weapons and ammo production, refreshing old stocks with new and improved, and having mostly larger military budgets, and the gaining of Finland and Sweden in the actual NATO team.

What are you seeing that makes you think it will leave us depleted and make us weaker when the time comes to face China?

My interest is America and Americans. Making Russia Great Again is certainly not in the interest of patriotic and conservative Americans. Economically, politically and morally.

Many (probably most) of our "elected" leadership are no longer elected by anything resembling a free and fair election. So short of violence, I really do not see any way of getting rid of these people.

Most people on this thread are voicing comments that indicate they still think of themselves as participants in politics.

We're not, we're just spectators now.

You might point to Youngkin's razor thin victory or some school board elections. But that's just the corpse twitching. There isn't a single state willing to tell Fedzilla (including Federal judges) to eff off or start grabbing and deporting illegal aliens. Not one. DeSantis tweaks Disney's nose and Abbot sends National Guard to the border for photo ops. The 1st and 2nd Amendments hang by the thread of a couple of elderly judges on SCOTUS.

Don’t be a dumbA. Russia had/has no goal of expanding territory.
Pull your head out and see the US/NATO/West/StateDept/Nuland Minsk goal as admitted by Merkle and others.
