Offline in the real world (yes, it exists) there are tricks to eating cheaper (now called “life hacks”). It is counterintuitive, cooking a decent breakfast in the morning means less munching and snacking during the day, saving food costs. It also has taken a few pounds and inches off my ever aging waistline.

Check out World Bank. They have their own numbers and more correct than CIA.
In your shoes, it makes more sense to think about your own country. Debt ceiling debates are going to have different implications with de-dollarization. See Zimbabwe.

Check out World Bank.

OK. I will look at what the World Bank says about Russia: https://www.worldbank.org/en/country/russia

"Country At-A-Glance"

"Russia’s economy will contract by 4.5 percent in 2022, less than initially expected thanks to the strong fiscal response and the surge in energy prices which helped increase fiscal revenues. The economy has experienced a sharp drop in imports, and a fall in real incomes. The recession will continue in 2023 due to the sanctions and reduced fiscal expansion, according to the World Bank's latest Regional Economic Update for Europe and Central Asia (Oct 2022)."

The short terms surge in oil prices helped Russia decline less. The overall trend of economic contraction remained. In February, Russia announced it was cutting production by 500,000 BPD. Russia will not make money on oil it is not selling. Even if the World Bank and IMF use their own numbers, instead of using Russian numbers without checking or filling in the blanks for what Russia is not reporting, the next year is not looking good for Russia's economy.

Oil is 10-15% of the Russian economy on a good day, today less than that.
Regarding World Bank, it is not about contraction of the individual countries but about comparison between them.

“The annual inflation rate in Russia fell sharply to 3.5 percent in March of 2023, …..”

https://tradingeconomics.com/russia/inflation-cpi

The West is mired in unpayable debt, historic inflation, a declining USD, historic “ low productivity “ rates, while the Russian Ruble is steadily gaining value, and continues to fill its pockets with hard $$$, Russia huge commodity base has what the West needs.

Fact is Vlad’s sanctions worked, while senile Joe’s boomeranged and failed.Vlad outsmarted the senile war cheerleader once again, get used to it.

Zel the clown is still performing, but now the neoconnunists are the butt of the joke; Throwing their money and panties at him like pimple faced Justin Bieber fans while he laughs his ass off at them and counts the night's take backstage every night.

—”Fact is Vlad’s sanctions worked”

With Putin doing so well... and all of that...

And yet they can’t even manufacture s a drone like the Iranian Shahed?

With a simple piston engine nothing high-tech.

Beyond energy and raw materials, Russia produces very little.

The Russian Federation held together the formally famous Russian military, now stretched very thin.

Will become Russia and the 40 other Fiefdoms...Sometimes spelled Thievesdoms.

Russian industry was actually Western Industry in Russia. When the western companies left, the industry ceased.

Further much of Russian industry depended on components sourced in the west. When that flow ended, the industry ended. Example......Automobiles. They can’t even make Ladkas

If the Russian economy was booming as Russia claims, its factories would be running and pollution levels would be normal.

In wartime, industrial controls on pollution are usually lessened or ignored.

It is an interesting bit of data.
