Survey: Donald Trump Holds Double-Digit Lead in Arizona’s Republican Race

Former President Donald Trump has the clear frontrunner status in Arizona’s hypothetical 2024 Republican primary race, according to Noble Predictive Insights’ latest Arizona Public Opinion Pulse (AZPOP) survey.

The survey listed declared candidates, including former President Trump as well as former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley. It also included Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), who is expected to make a presidential announcement this month, as well as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan, New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu, and former Secretary Mike Pompeo. Notably, Pompeo announced last month that he will not run for president this election cycle.

“This isn’t our moment. This isn’t our time for us to seek elected office,” he said during an appearance on Fox News’s Special Report.

In this potentially crowded field, Trump garners support from nearly half of registered Republicans — 49 percent listed him as their candidate of choice.

No other potential challenger came close. As is consistent with other national and statewide surveys, DeSantis came in a distant second, 28 points behind with 21 percent support. Pence came in third place with seven percent support, followed by Haley and Cheney, both of whom garnered four percent support. Three percent chose Rubio, and the remaining individuals listed saw one percent support or less.

2024 Arizona Republican Primary:

Trump 49% (+28)
DeSantis 21%
Pence 7%
Haley 4%
Cheney 4%
Rubio 3%
Pompeo 1%
Sununu 1%
Hogan 1%
T. Scott 0%
Youngkin 0%
.
Head-2-Head:
Trump 59% (+18)
DeSantis 41%

That’s not counting the illegal vote.

And they ARE going to vote.

That is why they are here.

It will be RACIST to stop them.

371 Republican Voters polled. Very small sample.

Youngkin has said he’s not getting into the race. He’s staying Governor.

Cheney has not declared.
Rubio has not declared and has not made any indication he’s running.
Pompeo has said he’s not running.
Hogan has not declared.

This poll is total junk and unreliable.

Small controlled sample size to get the results the pollster wanted, for whoever paid them.
Adding names of undeclared or those that have said they’re not running.

Without election integrity, it’s so much fluff and bubble.

Good points on the flaws in polling but I think we already know the former President leads the nomination race. Question for AZ polling in my opinion is which conservative Republican has the best chance to win AZ in the general election? And a tie doesn’t count as a win.

Trump had a solid win there in 2016, then failed to win there in 2018 (Senate race), 2020 (Presidential and Senate elections) and 2022 (Senate).

He had a GREAT record on energy and economic policies, border issues and foreign policy, but he was wrong on one thing, I never got tired of winning under his leadership.

Are you taking into consideration the total corruption of the Arizona election officials and their actions?

Hasn’t Fox/Murdoch/Dominion News called it for Biden yet?

He has the same lead that Kari Lake had going into the governor’s election.

Arizona is rife with vote fraud.

Yep. And there are millions that have been let in since Biden seized POTUS - reports are up to 6 million.

Now, they’re amassed at the border waiting for the 11th when Title 42 ends.

Gott get ‘em in before next year’s election.

You can be sure ALL of them will be voting.

Republicans — 49 percent listed him as their candidate of choice.

I’m ignoring the entire poll.

This was a bought and paid for poll. The results are what the purchaser wanted.

DeSantis hasn’t announced either.

That makes 6 people included in a poll that aren’t even running.

Yes, I took the corruption into consideration with my observation of losing 3 election cycles in a row. It happened under his watch. He wasn’t the problem or the solution. R’s had the trifecta in AZ for state governance and he had the bully pulpit. In that time the election system we knew was destroyed - ‘for covid’.

I wrote that a tie doesn’t count as a win. Stipulate that the tie goes to the totally corrupt Democrats in Maricopa County. State government combined with the bully pulpit should have stopped that. And his support should have grown in 4 years, not shrunk. Since then we’ve lost two senators there (admittedly RINOs), the governorship and the bully pulpit in Washington. Try the same thing again and expect a different result?

Stipulate the cheat happened, but is the cheat the permanent excuse for losing? If so, why quibble about which R is on the ballot.
