Former President Donald Trump says President Joe Biden has "greatly insulted" the U.K. people by skipping King Charles III's coronation Saturday.
"Good Luck and Best Wishes to the wonderful new King and Queen of The United Kingdom," Trump posted to Truth Social. "You are two very Special People. May your Reign be a Long and Glorious One. GOD BLESS YOU BOTH!!!"
But the praise was not effusive for Trump's political rival.
"Joe Biden should have been at the Coronation of King Charles III," Trump wrote in another Truth Social post. "Is that really so much to ask? The people of the U.K. are greatly insulted. No wonder we are losing support all over the World. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!"

Thank goodness the USA turned its back on Japan after their little Pearl Harbor straffing run, December 7, 1941.
—-> I’m half surprised Chump didn’t claim DeSantis killed Princess Di.
Hmmmmm… I hadn’t made the connection. Does DeSantis have an alibi?
Biden probably is under doctor orders not to attempt long or arduous journeys
That’s silly. DeSantis killed Tupac.
I’m sure the Monarchy does play a role in the legislative process of Great Britain, at least in a consultative role. But that is still not the place for US President to be there for the coronation.
I’m not dissing the Royal Family, just pointing out that attending their coronation is the place of the President. A Presidental cabinet minister, certainly. But not the President himself.
It would have gotten higher ratings if they had cast Harry as King and his controversial wife as Queen.
Might I suggest nukes.
Lest you forget, their church was founded by an adulterer who couldn’t get a divorce from the Church. Just keeping with the tradition.
Trump’s whole thing was to separate us from our longtime traditional allies (UK Canada Australia France Germany rest of Europe Japan and South Korea etc) pull out of NATO and UN, and most of his supporters liked it. So for him to act like he cares about this is weird, but it’s just a dig at Biden so it’s fine
Dear Donald, S T F U already, geez, shame on you.
Give him time!
You're probably right. But future President Gavin Newsom probably can't resist the occasion to attend future King William's coronation. It's a big party.
Nice of you to make an excuse for Biden and use the Big Media talking point, but Biden's press secretary said it was because of "previous commitments". And yes, Biden's "previous commitment" excuse is disrespectful.
BTW, it's been 88 years since the last King coronation. A lot of things have changed over the last 88 years.
Hard to imagine DeSantis making such a bonehead play.
That comment explains a lot about your post.
Perhaps the UN but the rest of your comment is nonsense. Trump wanted NATO members to pay their fair share.
My take was Trump’s whole thing was to avoid sending our troops all over the world to fight, while ignoring our southern border.
> Does Trump have an aid to vet his internet posts? <
Trump evidently has no one to vet his comments. That was true when he was president. And it seems to be true now. It’s one of Trump’s greatest weaknesses. And it’s something that makes me consider other GOP candidates.
> no US President has ever attended the crowning of a British king <
That’s one of the reasons I like Free Republic. I learn something new here quite often. I wouldn’t have thought it. But by golly, you’re right about this! I looked it up.

I personally, don’t care if a President sends his wife to the crowing of a King, sends himself, or attends a funeral.
The real issue is that Slow Joe is in such a fragile state of health that he needs to be skillfully managed. All the security of a UK Coronation would not allow the number of handlers required to control Slow Joe.
