Austin Goss, who has been fired from his position at Dakota News Now, reportedly used software to make prank calls to former South Dakota GOP chairman Dan Lederman appear as though they came from Gov. Kristi Noem's personal cellphone number.
Goss could face up to a year in jail and $2,000 in fines for a misdemeanor charge of making threatening, harassing, or misleading contacts.
The pre-recorded call Lederman received used the voice of a mafia member accusing him of stealing boxes of vaccines, using lines like "You telling me you didn't tell Vito that you were gonna try to move the three boxes of that AstraZeneca outside this family?"

The rise in instances such as this is worrisome. We now have no way of knowing if something is fake or true and a lot of harm can be done while determining if what we hear or see is factual or based upon AI. What is extremely scary is the fact that our government has access to the most up-do-date technology and can invent evidence against someone and then present it to the public as true.
WTF is wrong with these screwballs?
I don’t like Chuck Schumer very much, but I wouldn’t try to frame him up for something.
There are some very stupid people in this world. Oh, never mind...
I saw you used the term “far-left political supporter”, which is the same exact thing.
Yet another smear job
My surprised face 😏
Austin needs his boney little Zero Gen ass thrown in the jug for a while. Maybe make a few license plates or make a few big rocks into little rocks. That’s identity theft. It isn’t a “prank” if nobody is laughing.
I have a rule of thumb. If it is good for the cabal I don’t believe it. If it is bad for freedom and liberty, I don’t believe it. If I’m not allowed to say it, it’s true.
It works pretty good. I didn’t get the shot and I’ve never felt better.
Matter of fact, I haven’t been sick in several years. And I’m NOT careful.

I remember in the ‘90s a local newspaper reporter was in a government building and thought it would be hilarious to bring up porn on a government official’s computer. He got fired when he bragged about it.
Last time I flew I dumped the trail mix on the tray and ate it right off there. My wife said I’m disgusting.
Admittedly, it was theatrics for the ‘tards making me wear a mask. I was quite upset.
Lolzzzzz Just because you can hack it, does not mean you should. This dude should have kept his mad skills to himself. Or hacked someone not as powerful as Guv Noem
What happens if some “ Vito “ some where actually got looked at by law enforcement over this prank…?
The problem is you don’t really need mad skills to hack a phone number like that, meaning every two-bit liberal hack can do what this guy did
And then give him a low paying job cleaning restrooms at a fast food restaurant!
“The problem is you don’t really need mad skills to hack a phone number like that, meaning every two-bit liberal hack can do what this guy did”
I don’t doubt you on this. But this “hacker” guy had to somehow get Guv Noem’s personal cell phone number, in order to replicate it. This must take some doing
Google spoofing a cellphone number
Here is one the first articles I read on the subject
True, Noem’s number is probably known to a number of reporters in South Dakota and that’s who gave it to him or who he stole it from
We try to impress upon our grandchildren the importance of considering all the consequences that will possibly result from their actions. Some people were never taught to be enter into such a thought experiment.
For instance, stealing that cookie just before dinner sounds like a good idea, but think of all the possible outcomes before doing so. Yes, the cookie will taste good now, but what if the result is missing out on one of those just-baked brownies that your mom is about to take from the oven that she has planned for dessert. Now, you don’t get a brownie. Was the cookie worth it? Consider the other possible outcomes from the one you wish before taking questionable actions.
BTTT
Makes sense and thanks.......
