You have to enter the race and back up to take the position of not backing down.

Well, for all these months, there’s been so much fighting on Free Republic about Trump versus DeSantis.

We will soon find out if DeSantis is really going to be a candidate.

Some of the loudest voices on Free Republic are critical of both Trump and DeSantis, for various reasons.

Some supporters of one candidate, say they will never vote for the other one, if the other ends up being the GOP nominee.

Stay tuned.

DeSantis has no chance if Trump can run commercials with people saying their homeowners insurance premiums are astronomical amounts.

Is this your home? Yes.

What was your lowest homeowners insurance quote?

...

That much?

Yes! Up 200% since DeSantis became governor!

DeSantis is essentially handing Floridians over to Tedros and the WHO.

“Contentious Agenda”: implying that DeSantis’ agenda, by itself, causes strife. It only causes strife because libs vehemently and violently hate it. “Contentious” which means inherently divisive or combative, is used by the left to describe anything they don’t like.

I would like to offer my welcome to DeSantis on entering the next phase of the liberals attacks on conservative POTUS candidates like Trump. Liberals don’t have a message, only answers to their own questions and those posed by other conservatives the libs are using.

Republicans are wrestling with whether Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, the likely 2024 presidential hopeful, should — or even can — soften his staunchly conservative brand enough to win a national election.

DeSantis’s struggles have consumed the national media and inspired sundry explanations. Perhaps his misanthropy is the problem.

Among GOP donors, leading conservative voices and even some supporters, there is a growing concern that DeSantis has overstepped in his fight against “wokeness” as he seeks to shore up conservative support ahead of a highly anticipated 2024 campaign for president.

Former Senator Claire McCaskill talks with Alex Wagner about the how poorly Ron DeSantis is living up to his casting as a better Trump alternative, forcing unpopular policies on his state, failing to secure endorsements, and turning off major Republican donors.
