I’m not familiar with the Oklahoma bill, but these types of
bills generally protect minors. They seek to have the kids
reach adulthood, at which time they can do as they please.
I would hope the courts don’t object to that.
There are plenty of kids out there who are coming around to
realize they did the wrong thing, and now feel that their
lives are ruined.
Let’s error on the side of future kids being spared that
sort of awakening and aftermath.

Oklahoma bill doesn’t go far enough. They should just translate the guidelines from Finland, where even this “gender-affirming” is banned (of course along with giving minors either puberty blockers or hormones).
The Finnish guidelines are to tell the kids who feel they are other sex “Don’t worry about it. Growing up is confusing. We’ll look at it again when you’re older.”
The practice shows that this dysphoria almost always goes away by itself. There is a very rare case when it is real, but for most of it - as Dr. House said - it’s not lupus.
