If only that were true. Rights, like property, belong only to those that can defend them. There are a few J6ers in jail that you can ask about rights or maybe the Proud Boys that clearly were framed yet found guilty in a trial by jury today.
Sadly it is not clear enough to dissuade tyrant states from infringing it regularly. Even the much revered Scalia who was stupid enough to decide that burning the American Flag was speech also declared that the 2nd did not prevent reasonable restrictions on gun rights. We have states regularly pass reasonable restrictions that take years to make it to the Supremes who sometimes decide they were not reasonable.
The 2nd does not give us any rights, it declares that our gun rights were granted to us by God and no law cold be written that restricted that right. Oh well....
