There was no discrimination against ethnic Russians worth speaking of and ethnic Russians were not murdered for being ethnic Russians. Side with the historic enemy and you will be hated for it - whether Russian or Ukrainian.

If I were younger, I would - they after all are some of the best fighters in the war - far better than Russian special forces so far. And what would you make? A great Russian raper of children? A beater of old men and women? A petty looter rooting through the possessions of dead Ukrainians? How about a kidnapper of Ukrainian children who hopes to brainwash them into being Russians?
