It’s propbably voice texting... maybe on a “smart” phone.
Norman Mailer used a stream of conscience method of writing while driving using a tape recorder, but at least he employed a well paid transcriptionist/editor.
I’m not sure why that just popped into my head but days upon days of trucking gravel will do that to you. I voice text alot, and it shows.
