Federal agencies such as the Internal Revenue Service and the Environmental Protection Agency have spent nearly $4 billion in taxpayer funds on guns, ammunition, and other "military-style equipment," a watchdog group found.
Since 2006, "76 rank-and-file agencies" outside "traditional law enforcement entities" or the Department of Defense spent $3.7 billion on "guns, ammunition, and military-style equipment," according to watchdog group Open the Books's summary of its report. These agencies include the National Institutes of Health, NASA, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Small Business Administration, among others that historically have played little to no role in law enforcement activities.
Federal agencies have ramped up spending on weapons and ammunition under the Biden administration, according to data provided to the Washington Free Beacon. The IRS has seen its annual spending on these items nearly double since 2020, while the whole federal government has seen a 60 percent increase over the same period.

I’d barely trust any one of those fools with a ball point pen, much less, anything that propels a 124 grain projectile at 1200 fps.
As I recall these agencies caused last ammo shortage when 0 was in office
Their army when the call goes out
I spent 25 years as an actual federal law enforcement officer (Border Patrol). Fed/LEOs are covered under section 6-C which designates them with special powers, make arrest, take statements under oath, serve subpoenas, serve arrest and search warrants etc.
Most importantly the authority to deprive someone of their liberty or even their life should the situation call for it.
Hundreds of academy hours of training goes into ensuring that an agent understands their duties, responsibilities and ramification for screws ups.
Any fed who is not designated as 6-C should not be any ware near a gun of any kind. The federal liability here is astronomical.

Not only must the "power of the purse" House take responsibility for this spending, but peacetime Congress probably doesn't have a reasonable explanation for why it's arming constitutionally undefined, so-called feedral regulatory agencies that are not under the umbrella of the militia.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 16: To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia [emphases added], and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;"
They allow an invasion along both borders, used to be just the southern border, but now the northern border has become very porous also. They spend us into bankruptcy, as they destroy the middle class and enrich themselves, and even people on this board who are supposedly conservatives, are assisting them in the destruction of this nation. Supporting wars that are meaningless. Ignoring the mass influx of people who know nothing about this nation, other than it's rich, in their eyes. They can't make up their mind what a good leader looks & acts like, and the list goes on, and on, and on.
I don't think it will be long before reality hits us all right between the eyes. Shame that people couldn't wake up much sooner.
No Big Deal!
Our communist masters know that the pathetically servile and indolent Aamerican people will just continue to roll over and spread their collective cheeks...
So what? You see the standards of whats required to work for DEM? LIMP wristed pansies and butchies:-)
Excellent battlefield pick ups when the time comes.

Why? Why does a Feddie need a gun? Don’t tell me to go huntin’. These are government employees, not soldiers. They don’t need friggin’ guns!!!
Just think how many former Pancake House waitresses are going to be running around with guns.
Since when is the IRS not a law enforcement agency? It has a criminal division.
Good catch.
Even if "they" succeed in building such a force, they would still be hugely outnumbered by civilian gun-owners, hence the constant drumbeat for civilian disarmament (aka "gun control").
The Left in every country always fears the real army and builds outside “para” military armies. When the Left in America decides it is time to nail down their tyranny, even as they command the formal military, they will use, instead, their quasi military outfits like the IRS and other federal agencies. The military will be kept overseas or “in their barracks” while the final takeover of all points in the society is accomplished. Look for more large hiring binges for IRS agents.
If we are to get our Republic back that has to apply to ALL federal agencies and departments except the military itself. Return the bureaucracy to the original four departments and do NOT ‘fold in” the abolished departments’ duties to the remaining four.
You are gonna’ have a LOT of people agree with this post... And to prove your point, no one is going to reply because they fear the government.
It is hard to kill we serfs without a heavily armed enforcement army.
The States can stop them cold if they wanted to, but that would disrupt the big club they are so eager to be part of.
