A wave of Russian air strikes on cities across Ukraine, including Kyiv, has left at least 25 people dead.
23 people - including four children - were killed in an attack that hit a block of flats in the central city of Uman, officials said.
And a woman and her three-year-old daughter were killed in the city of Dnipro, according to the local mayor.
The Russian defence ministry said its military had targeted Ukrainian army reserve units with the strikes.
State-owned RIA news agency said Russia was aiming for the reserve units and used high-precision weapons on Friday.
In Uman, a town that has been largely spared Russian attack, a nine-storey apartment building partially collapsed after it was hit by a missile.
Oleksander, a 35-year-old resident of the block, said he had been woken up after he heard a powerful explosion.
"I couldn't understand what was happening. I went to the balcony and saw glass everywhere. It was horrible," he told the BBC.
"Russia is a terrorist state. You can see, there's no military object here. And it happened at four o'clock in the morning, as people were sleeping".

War crime. There is no miltary value in striking civilians, especially far behind the lines.

What is the industrial capacity of homes?
In fairness,, Russia can’t fight military operations, so, it’s what they have.
Attacks on civilians, when it is a one way street, is terrorism. Putin’s jackboots would see it differently if Ukraine had the capacity to bomb Moscow.
Uman is the headquarters of a Ukrainian Air Defense Regt.
Air defenses have become a primary target as the Russians seek to preempt Uke preps for an offensive prob in the south.
Unfortunately Ukes put their military units in the middle of civilian areas ( we saw this in Iraq with Saddam Hussein). Precision strikes are difficult when the target is surrounded by hi rises. Also we have seen in the past that when the Ukes fire at incoming missiles, sometimes they knock them off course, or the air defense missiles (often S-300) fail to hit the target and land instead on civilians.
Its not a war crime, not a deliberate effort to target civilians.
However, it is a war crime when the Ukes target civilian areas of Donetsk and Lugansk. No news has reported the civilians killed yesterday in Donetsk when the Ukes shelled a city bus.
Only propagandized Russians and ignorant LiberalTarians Putin JackBoots would believe that spew.
We should give the Ukrainians the weapons to launch a counterattack and missiles to hit Russian cities. Even it out, and then Russians can’t be considered to be terrorists.
You might not like Ukraine, but what possible reason could you have for rooting for Russia?
Even the United Nations acknowledges Ukraine is using the same tactics as Hezbollah and Hamas, in conducting military operations out of civilian hospitals, schools, hospitals, office buildings, churches and factories. These are fairly serious war crimes they have consistently been committing.
