Yea right! That must be why they blewup their own pipeline. That makes more sense than just close the valve. That would have allowed them to open the valve when it was in their favor. The way they did it resulted in filling the pipeline with seawater making it impossible to use forever.

For a US ship to sail from the North Sea, through Denmark, past Bornholm Island, and back, with a submerisble on deck, without drawing attention, would be impossible.
Russian ships could perform the sabotage in less than two days at sea.
