It continued with George H. W. Bush. And Clarence Thomas. And Rush Limbaugh. And Sarah Palin.. If you were on the right, it wasn't enough to debate you, they got personal. The fact was (and is) that they can't debate you. They go down and dirty.
They demonized Bob Dole (even though he was a RINO with a capital RINE). I mean Dole, and Bush were fine, as long as they 'got along' with the Democrats, but, God forbid, they run against them in a national election.
Then there was George W. Bush. The media SAVAGED him at every turn. They went after McCain with a vengeance. And Pierre Delecto...
Being a conservative, especially one running for national office, means that you are the literal spawn of Satan, in their eyes.
Trump, of course, inherited the collective venom, and, because he had the audacity to defeat the queen of Urine Cabbage a la Bourbon, he was the recipient of the the harshest whirlwind yet. But it is not going to stop. I just hope that Ron DeSantis, or whoever is next, is prepared for what is to come. It most assuredly will not abate. DeSantis will be painted as the Prince of Darkness himself in due course. The left will never again make the mistake they made with Reagan.

How does she know who is DVDing what and where? Did some corrupt FBI agent tell her that?
