Some of his backers are urging him to declare as early as May 11, in an effort to counter the creeping national narrative that former President Donald Trump is the overwhelming front-runner for the 2024 GOP nomination. Others in the governor’s orbit, however, have argued that that date would be too soon, according to two of those sources. All emphasized, however, that mid-May is the target.
I’m just here for the nasty comments.
If he would jump on the Trump train in 2024, win or lose, he would carry a very favorable reputation into 2028, He is young enough to make the wait worthwhile, IMO
A political climber. Whatever it takes to climb the ladder.
Never seen a Governor re-elected overwhelmingly & promised to finish his term take a liquid dump on the very voters of his state.
Maybe Gillum should have won after all.
His goal isn’t to stay somewhere and finish a task . It’s to do something that will earn him a lot of praise and help him climb to the next rung of the ladder.
Condolences to conservative Floridians.
You are about to trade in a pretty good Governor, (who promised to finish his term), for a mediocre at best, establishment elite backed, Presidential Candidate.
And the little people of the state of Florida?
Pffftttt, desantis says, I'm more of an executive, presidential type!
Please clap.
The Ronettes are smokin that Hopium.
He’s got ZERO chance without 45’s backing.
Even 2028 is starting to look out of reach for The Climber
Now that's decisive.
desantis is all about enriching himself. he has only done what he was told to, and as needed, to slither his way up to the next rung and income increase, voters be stabbed.
I felt sorry for his wife being sick, but for her to back him in his deception these months, it seems she is as money and power driven as he is.
Ronald Herbert Walker DeSantis.
I’m already getting his DeSantis for President ads by his campaign here in E. Washington state on foxnews.
He would be wise to just sit out and watch this one. Should be entertaining.
Never trust what MSMs “report”. We should all know this by now.
Me?
I'll take whomever wins the GOP nom. The nomination is owed to no candidate, and I welcome any GOPer who wants to compete and show me why he or she deserves my primary vote.
I would prefer it if the candidates showed me the positives of why they deserve my vote, and showed a presidential courtesy to each of the other candidates. Refraining from insults and name-calling is a big part of this.
I'm not a fan of poisoning the well for all other candidates threat if a certain candidate does not win the nom.
My biggest issue in selection of a candidate is ability to win in the general election.
