LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. (FLV) – Republican presidential candidate and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley offered the Walt Disney Company move thousands of jobs to her home state.
The offer came in an appearance on Fox News amid a recently filed lawsuit, the latest development of Disney’s power struggle with the government of Florida and the new Gov. Ron DeSantis-appointed board.
“South Carolina was a very anti-woke state,” she said. “It still is. And if Disney would like to move their hundreds of thousands of jobs to South Carolina and bring the billions of dollars with them, I’ll let them know.”
“I’ll be happy to meet them in South Carolina and introduce them to the governor and the legislature that would welcome it,” Haley said.

Disney would be lovely in SC, it would certainly help the hospitality industry after Jesse Jackson tried to choke it to death.
And that Amazon data center that everybody’s trying to kick out of Virginia, that looks like a beautiful fit in North Carolina.

Orlando and Winter Park was a beautiful area before Disney got there and screwed everything up.
I was visiting my sister in Old Orlando that Christmas break when they officially stuck the golden shovel in the ground and cut the ribbon, and I heard my sister and her friends say as they watched the news that evening, “well, there goes the neighborhood.” They weren’t kidding...
I never went to Disney World, I went to Disneyland when I was a 4th grader... and I thought it was stupid. Everywhere else we went that Christmas break was nice, Disneyland was a madhouse. The trip down from Seattle was eventful and I had more fun on the drive. My dad loved a good drive.

Disney was actually a great place.
Even 6 years ago when we finally took our son, it was an astonishingly well-oiled machine. I was not happy about Gay Day (further being always my birthday weekend) over these last decades but otherwise overlook the bad to have our son have the experience. They were still all about customer service and efficiency. Something no other ride park has.
I would never impugn what Walt started. He was a great man of great character. But giving it up to losers over the last 3 decades (despite the alleged “Renaissance”) is bearing fruit for the commies and weirdoes.
