Thank you for your ignorant and condescending comment there, Mr Simpleton. 22 years on FR, and 32 years before the bar. The latter has taught me that defendants, whether in civil or criminal cases, should keepin their f’in mouths shut in public while their trials are in progress. Nothing to be gained, and lots to be lost.
I’m sure this case is an exception to this rule /s/
And you follow the media queues and let your hatred for Trump cloud your judgement.
Defendants ae told by their lawyers to remain silent so they don’t inadvertently incriminate themselves. Since Trump isn’t lying he has nothing to hide.
For starters, it's none of the judges business what the defendant says outside of court.
About your point of being what is good for the defendant, in this case, the defendant is running for office, is subject to daily comments in the court of public opinion from the slanted media, and has every right to give his side of the story.
Never met a lawyer that wasn’t an idiot, a crook or both.
You're living in the past. Yes, the American judicial system used to be fairly reliable ... a defendant could get a fair trial. But your adage about holding one's tongue doesn't apply anymore.
Now, with the criminals in charge, their friends go free and their political enemies pay - with time, money, and reputation. If a person doesn't speak up these days, the criminals will carry on unfettered, wreaking all the damage they could hope for on their enemy.
Trump is making the right moves for today's reality.
Re: 14 - LOL! President Trump believes he knows what is the strategy in the case.
I doubt you’ll ever change minds of some people on his strategy. Even if it is not helpful to his defense.
My niece graduates from law school in two weeks. She’s excited and likes the practice area she was hired for (IP). First to pass the bar, though!

You are correct.
Even in a fake case with corrupt judges? Pitiful.
Kind of depends on the goal. Trump can afford a civil court loss, but he can’t afford to lose in the court of public opinion.
This entire case is just another proxy war with the deep state/uniparty.
