"...this sounds pretty whiny for a first-look official campaign ad. The script for it amplifies that quality, as it sounds as though Trump wrote it himself. “Struggling big-time,” “failing so bad,” “Trump’s support was so powerful,” and so on. It’s comic-book language for a comic-book grudge. Everything about this ad is about Trump’s personal affront, and nothing — not a single word — is about the issues of the day, policies Trump wants to implement, or even voters themselves. It’s sixty seconds of personal butt-hurt, broadcast nationally."

“You need to pull your head out of your ass and listen to Trump’s speeches.”
I have. It’s all about him.
Would love to see Trump run against Biden and the Democrats instead of imaginary butt-hurts…
At least half the people on this forum are within ten years of Trump. Maybe we should establish a playroom where the younger folks can gripe about the oldsters that they resent so much.
Everything he could legally do.
Trump didn’t even fight to keep Fauci from taking over his presidency.
Sarah Palin did not cut short her governorship to run as vice president. She was the sitting governor of Alaska during that campaign.
She resigned as governor in July 2009, after the 2008 election.
Ah yes. DJT, the champion of loyalty.
Trump foes a good enough job of bringing himself down with stupid, whiny stuff like this ad. No politician is entitled to anything.
I believe for every never-Desantis voter, Desantis will get an independent. I do not think Trump can get independent voters, and its largely his own fault. I was a HUGE Trump supporter, but he has certainly disappointed me in 2023.
Agreed.
“This Trump seems to be terrified at DeSantis is actually going run.”
Why wouldn’t Trump be terrified that DeSantis will run?
DeSantis comes from a middle class background which many voters will relate to. He didn’t inherit a lot of money and go to private schools and doesn’t have an entitlement mentality.
He worked hard and put himself through college. (I’m surprised Trump hasn’t taken credit for that too.)
He’s very intelligent and focused. He doesn’t get distracted by petty attacks. He boldly addresses MSM falsehoods and doesn’t pander to left wing news outlets for interviews or campaign talking points. Trump understands that DeSantis’s superb articulation of issues and handling of the hostile press doesn’t bode well for him on the campaign trail and debate stage.
He has served in the Navy and volunteered for duty in Iraq.
He’s a young, faithful husband and father with a beautiful family and he has zero lawsuits from porn stars.
He abounds in strong leadership and his policies have been great for Florida. They are the model for other states. He surrounds himself with competent conservatives and is constantly winning for the people of his state.
Trump owes it to America to drop out of the Presidential race.
And there are the Tardistards who support the Tardis.
Oh great! The war pigs are joining in. Go away freak, I have no use for your kind.
Drop out? He hasn’t even had the guts to drop in yet.
Trump needs to leave out the primary contenders and concentrate of winning the wobbly Republicans and the independent voters. To do that means focusing on getting out to everyone his accomplishments, his plan and vision for the nation going forward.
My FRiend, I have been in the fight for a long time. I voted for Trump twice and will happily vote for him again. That said, this election is it, IMO. If Democrats win America is finished, the final nail in the coffin. Barring divine intervention, the globalists will finish their feast on the corpse of this once great country.
So, fantastic if Trump wins, but I ain’t falling on any political sword for one guy — any guy. Especially if it means the life or death of this country.
“the reality is that he cannot win the general election”
If you are right, then it’s also true that no other Republican can win it either.
Terrible ad.
I like Gop canidates who don’t attack from the left and side with groomer Disney.
