Bears have now moved in to our family timber. We adults all carry side arms and have decided to now carry bear spray also.

Bears are beautiful critters that are generally very shy and have always run away. But now with grandkids running all over the woods, building forts, etc. we feel that bear spray minimizes the chance of having to kill one of them.

There is always a dog around too. Bear spray offers one more level of protection and deterrence.

Being from SE Alaska, side arms are very effective as long as you have a .45 or magnum loads.

Obviously this idiot Kristof has never been exposed to any bears; if he had, he would know that if you find bear scat that has berry seeds, grass and other digested vegetable matter in it, it’s Black Bear scat.

If you find bear scat with little tiny bells in it, and it smells faintly of pepper spray, it’s Grizzly Bear scat!
