Never did see any credit unions in the search.

Video of the HBCU attended Orange Crush....
“I had to look up HBCU, because at first I did not understand why a Credit Union had a graduating class. The first thing that came up was “Historically Black Colleges (and) Universities”.”
___
I admit that when I first saw reference to HBCUs, I thought of credit unions as well (this was back when Obama was President and everything suddenly had to be viewed through a racial lens). The media acted as if everyone had always known what the reference meant. I had to look it up as well.
I wondered when we would see Yale or Harvard referred to as HWCU’s. That never happened since they simply stopped admitting as many whites. Now those schools can be referred to as HBCUs as well.
The media used HBCU to disguise the fact that Orange Crush was a mob of blacks. Also HBCU implies college graduates. The story says the shooter who was arrested was 38. So not a recent greaduate.
I ride down to Tybee often. It’s a two lane road out to the island. Not hard to see how it would back up. No to mention, there isn’t a lot of parking.
I hate it when articles have acronyms, but don’t explain what they mean.
