They SHOULD charge 10x as much for water, because we simply don’t have that much water and scarce supplies should cost more. And they don’t because they’re idiots. Also they can do things like declare Nestle moving a factory here a win (”more jobs”) while completely ignoring WHY Nestle put a factory here, and what that’s doing to our ability to survive.
Really, none of this should come as a surprise to you. You’re a conservative, you should be well versed in the idea of government misfeasance and malfeasance. 99% of what wrong with this country is either dumb government officials or corrupt government officials. This one is probably the former. Unless they got paid off.
