The area of AZ I’m in does not get their water from the river and we have enough water for the next 100 years even factoring in growth.

You do realize the Saudi firm started leasing this land in 2014 right?
This has NOTHING to do with the election, and EVERYTHING to do with the fact that we don’t charge enough for water in AZ. Period. There’s dozens of these little mini-scandals. Because companies see cheap water and go here. They assume we’re smart enough to charge based on the supply. We aren’t. Been that was for decades.
