NP...not a big Intel fan but they do a pretty good job at “Made in the USA”. But their “Sustainable Development Summit” sounds a bit too “woke”. ;-)

Base on what there Jebediah? Once again it’s the likes of you that drove jobs overseas. Whether you like it or not. Are you happy you have those cheap goods? How many flag pins do you have on your jacket? You know the ones that are made in China?

And BTW, the vast majority of Intel manufacturing is in the USA. So WTF are you b*tching about? The fact he sells into China? You know one of the places that makes the bulk of laptops and computers?

Not the USA? Should be. Tariffs, then more tariffs. After that another tariff.

America was in love with tariff until free traitors like you took over.

1924 GOP platform (excerpt)

The Tariff

We reaffirm our belief in the protective tariff to extend needed protection to our productive industries. We believe in protection as a national policy, with due and equal regard to all sections and to all classes. It is only by adherence to such a policy that the well being of the consumers can be safeguarded that there can be assured to American agriculture, to American labor and to American manufacturers a return to perpetrate American standards of life. A protective tariff is designed to support the high American economic level of life for the average family and to prevent a lowering to the levels of economic life prevailing in other lands.

In the history of the nation the protective tariff system has ever justified itself by restoring confidence, promoting industrial activity and employment, enormously increasing our purchasing power and bringing increased prosperity to all our people.

The tariff protection to our industry works for increased consumption of domestic agricultural products by an employed population instead of one unable to purchase the necessities of life. Without the strict maintenance of the tariff principle our farmers will need always to compete with cheap lands and cheap labor abroad and with lower standards of living.

Intel processors are a joke (once you have experienced Apple Silicon)

Given both bend over and kiss Xi's ass, I don't allow either processor in my house.

AMD is made in Malaysia. This post sent using AMD based Linux O/S.

None of that evil Microsoft in this house either.

You interject the Trump logo which has nothing to do with the tariff issue.

America has and always has had tariffs.

Apple processors are made in Taiwan (TSMC), soon to be made in AZ. My Mac Mini M2 Pro is made in Malaysia. Only iPhones are made in China but slowly and steadily Apple is pulling iPhone production out of China and moving to other places.

I appreciate the correction! I was very interested in an M2 however believing they were made in China was a showstopper for me.

I shall now take another look.

The difference per laptop made in the USA vs Made in China is amost nil. About 6% is labor. But Traitors tell us a $1,000 China laptop would cost $10,000 made in th USA, $9,000 labor per laptop.

"The difference per laptop made in the USA vs Made in China is amost nil. About 6% is labor."

Can you please supply citation for this? Links would be great. Also please factor all components being built in the USA not just assembling the laptop itself (which is already one in the US).

The average cost of labor per unit of manufactured goods is around 8%. Even UNION made autos, the labor is 10%. Companies dont want you to know this stuff but it is not much difference in making things here vs China. They will sell out a US worker for 1 penny on the dollar.
