The now expired 1994 modern weapons ban covered a lot more than just Eugene Stoner’s little black rifle.
An “assault weapon” is anything they can scare people with by claiming it has a “military appearance”.
A “sniper rifle”, which they also want to ban, is anything to which glass sights could be attached.
Make no mistake: These people want to ban and take ALL FIREARMS. Every last one, no exceptions.
Plan accordingly.

If said firearm is in the hands of the “police” it is instead a “service rifle” or a “patrol rifle”

An “ASSAULT WEAPON” is any “object-tool-body part-device that can be thrown, pushed, swung, or poked” in order to cause bodily harm to another object or person.
Therefore, any thing can be considered an “ASSAULT WEAPON”!
Perhaps they need a biologist?
