As the global community prepares to celebrate Earth Day, NASCAR today announced its commitment to achieve net zero operating emissions by the year 2035.
The announcement coincides with the launch of NASCAR IMPACT, a new umbrella platform designed to align and advance the sport’s collective efforts around sustainability, community engagement and other impact-driven social initiatives.
NASCAR plans to reduce its carbon footprint to zero across all scope 1 and 2 emissions over the next 12 years through strategic investment, collaborative partnerships, and operational changes.
“As a sport, NASCAR has a responsibility to serve and impact the communities where we live and race while contributing to a healthier planet,” said NASCAR President Steve Phelps. “With the support of our industry, NASCAR IMPACT will drive our strategic sustainability, community and social initiatives as we continue to make progress across these important areas.”

Brittany may be a very good driver-—But since the topic is “DRAG QUEENS”, SHE is very normal.
Even after they see the results of woke they still do it. Some kind of insanity?
Justice would have them disappear in a buzz of electrons.
Used to be “TROPHY QUEENS” to give the winner the trophy.
Been around drag racing since about age 19. Now 83. NEVER remember seeing anyone who was “light in the loafers” or lesbian..
BTW—TV TOMMY IVO’s Birthday is today.
HE is 87.
BINGO drivers getting thumbs ready for action.
AND Penalties on the Hendrick and other top (read: Teams that win too much money) teams.
They should take all of the TEEN THUGS in Chicago and make them push the cars around the Tracks. That'll burn off some energy... Bye-bye NUTSCAR !!!
I call it TRASHCAR.
How many trees to plant for the Daytona 500 race?
They wrecked NASCAR about a decade ago. Now they are killing it dead and stomping on the corpse. I quit watching and attending a long time ago. Its a bunch of rich kids who have bought their rides, I would bet 90% of all the drivers never made their bones racing at Saturday night short tracks. In short, you could put a chimp in the driver’s seat and they would do just as well as most on the track. Goodbye NASCAR, always sad to see a suicide.
wut is this nascar of which you speak???
it’s dead to me
NASCAR killed itself when it went to “phases” and “playoffs” and things like that...
NASCAR used to race a full race without all the BS...They also ran a full season and the points were given for finishes in each race with the high point winner being champion...
“Drag Queen racing for sissies and trannies.”
LOL, I can hear it now. It will give a whole new meaning to a driver saying “I was in the 48th lap when my trannie went out.”
No more 500 mile races. Just 5 laps.
Monty Python did a funny skit about that. The scene opened with a sign announcing drag racing and you could hear the sounds of loud engines. Then the camera went to two of the actors running down the track in dresses and high heels. Eric Idle was one of them. Late 1970’s I think.
NASCAR died on February 18, 2001!
Along with Lee Petty, Alan Kulwicki and Dale Earnhardt, too.
I think the Daytona 500 should go back to racing on the beach with electric powered dune buggies or golf carts!
Along with Lee Petty, Alan Kulwicki and Dale Earnhardt, too.
Pretty safe prediction from an outfit that probably won’t last over the next 10 years. (Look at the stands, they are half full).
Remember last year during the Chases at the end of the year, Ross Chastain used a video game move to go past a bunch of cars to make the finals, only to have other drivers criticize him for doing something dangerous and on the borderline of being illegal.
That was a great finish under real driving pressure and NASCAR dismissed and did not promote the finish.
Instead of dismissing the finish, NASCAR should have been hyping up the finish, but they didn’t do that.
LOL. NASCAR Lingo will be replaced with Drag Queen Psychobabble.
