Now, we find out he was released from the hospital less than 48 hours after being shot.
One final note - check out the facial photograph of the victim in this article. To me, it looks like he got hit by bird shot from a shotgun.
I highly doubt that he went to the wrong house accidentally. That doesn’t sit right with me.
The only thing that will matter to me is if the youth entered the premises without permission. If he just stayed on the stoop and he was shot, than he was shot unlawfully, imo. If he entered the home, it’s a lawful shoot, imo.
A whole Lotta hinkey this story tells.
Typical that ABC News wants you to know he is a “white man” before the article is ten words old.
The media is almost laughably racist now.
How can you tell? He wasn’t even shot in the face
The kid is the next congressman in the district.
He’s said to have rung the doorbell bell, J30.
People used to actually do that in this country. And not just to sell girl scout cookies.
One other note...
This kid was 16 years old.
Allegedly, he was driving around at night, alone, for the purpose of picking up two minor children, his younger brothers.
Is any of that legal in Kansas?
Hopefully ballistics will show whether the door might have been opened at the time of the shooting.
The story doesn’t sit right with me.
Unfortunately, it’s the story elements that will matter under the law.
Oh—so maybe they overplayed the significance of the wounds...and that’s where the effort was put in in terms of myth-making.
Had heard the initial shot was fired through glass, maybe through a window?
Probably is legal.
Only if the brain damage is sufficiently severe.
The truth doesn’t matter any more. What matters is what comes out of the mouths of those with the most men and guns. If you don’t understand that, you never will, you’ll be dead.
As someone who has knocked on many, many thousands of doors, I don’t like this modern trend of shooting people on the porch.

He has a dozen BB like wounds on his face.
Multiple photos of this kid before the shooting do not show BB like wounds.
It was KC, Missouri.
Strange, the door was not damaged, neither was the outside storm door (it looks like one where you can change from plastic windows to screen depending on the season).
So the young man either
1. Was not outside and entered the house thinking he had the right one
or
2. The was outside and the homeowner opened the door and shot.
At this point we don’t know.
