Builders of the Mountain Valley Pipeline says they’ve completed most of the 304-mile project, but Wild Virginia’s David Sligh says the hardest part has yet to begin.
“They have not crossed hundreds of streams, and they have not crossed the national forest and some other areas that are particularly difficult for them to do construction, and those areas are going to be some of the most difficult they have,” he explains.
A coalition of environmental groups will again challenge a permit to build through three and a half miles of the Jefferson National Forest. Late last week the forest service issued another environmental impact statement.

We are paying for this propaganda.
I bet the early Virginians (back when West Virginia was part of Virginia) never dreamed that transportation of one of their state’s natural resources would be regulated by the federal government as an “interstate” transport.
Elon Musk called National Public Radio (NPR) “state-affiliated media” last week and this week it is “government-funded media.”
He’s right on BOTH counts.
I burn up thinking about how much taxes (due tomorrow) I have to hand over to the federal government—that is impoverishing me—to fund these liars and haters at NPR who are so against me politically.
I thought this would be about letting someone like Donald Trump spend time in a park.
“MVP”
Special prisons for environmental groups too.
On what basis do these groups have standing? Of there is one, it needs to be eliminated by Congress.
I would not nearly mind paying so much in taxes were it being spent wisely. NPR is an agregious use of tax money. I have some friends who listen to it and do not even recognize that it is mainly propaganda. They do not think logically, and are all in on liberalism. I don’t like paying taxes to subsidize NPR crap. I could never listen for 5 minutes.
The environmental lobby owns the 4th Circuit of Appeals and cannot lose. The guy in the broadcast is intimidatine the West Virginia Dept. of the Environment (Fish and Wildlife).
The pipeline can be safely completed. If there is a spill, it can be cleaned up. To carry by truck or rail is unsafe and likely to cause another Palestine.

Environmentalists work for Warren Buffet so he can get lucrative contracts to ship petroleum products by his railroad, using some of that money to keep environmentalists in cash.
Warren Buffet owns the BNSF. The BNSF has no track in WV or VA. The closest his railroad gets to WV is St. Louis.
” three and a half miles”
And just like that billions of dollars of investment and work stopped by some screaming banshees and a few sympathetic bureaucrats.
That may be but what I described is how the system works and has for the last 20 years or more. Substitute some one else for Buffet or some corporation.
On an admitted side note, recent stories include Chinese aliens caught with tools that could cut rail
NPR talks too much.
