Corporate is wasting money on this commercial. They are NOT SINCERE as evidenced by their continuing employment of the TRANS-PROMOTING VP.
Correct; they have carefully calculated costs/risks/benefit, and concluded that the best path was to push an insincere apology than to do anything meaningful. They’re ethically bankrupt. This was revealed with pushing a pervert on us, and is now underscored with this ‘action’. Never liked Bud, but would manage to drink it if offered, just to be polite. Never again.
I suspect she will be reassigned to the VP of Seltzer at a reduced salary at some point.
More likely she has been told by her boss that it would be a good idea that she should look for a job at another company.
I can see that VP laughing and ridiculing the ad, the backwoods hicks and the frat boys it’s supposed to appeal to. It’s damn cynical and insulting.
