‘Explosion kills 18,000 cows,’ reports say, and no questions asked

Recently, news broke regarding an explosion at a dairy farm in the Texas Panhandle, in which approximately 18,000 cows were killed (and one person critically injured). The Castro County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the explosion to Fox News Digital and stated that the cows were in a holding area before being brought in for milking when the blast occurred at the Southfork Dairy Farm in Dimmitt. The Texas State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire.

Castro County Sheriff Sal Rivera spoke to local media outlet KSAT-TV about the explosion and subsequent fire, saying that speculation centered around “what they call a honey badger, which is a vacuum that sucks the manure and water out and possibly that it got overheated and probably the methane and things like that ignited and spread out and exploded and the fire.”

Um, sure. Not.

Perfectly timed for when the cows came in to be milked.

A well planned operation

A well planned operation.

Three or more times, is enemy action. Haven’t we had dozens?

If this were written by Eric Udder I’d question the article itself.

Some background on large scale operations...I had no idea.

Not sure what kind of explosion engulfs and destroys a nearly 2 million sf building and 18k cows.

How do you dispose of so many huge carcasses?

Don’t under estimate the power of methane. In my ute I work on dairy farms. More than one fire and small explosions from methane in the area. Of course we were dealing with 3-400 head not 18,000, that is a potential for a very large amount on methane.

One question which I would ask...insurance? Usually, most farms have a policy to cover lightning strikes upon cattle (my dad had 11 cows stand under a tree and were killed by the strike).

As for burying them? It’d have to be two football fields size....maybe a hundred feet deep. Wouldn’t shock me if they were trucked over to New Mexico.

The WEF wants a famine bad. Of course the FBI is too busy persecuting J6 protestors, school board moms and Catholics to investigate.

Those operations feed hay, vast quantities of it. I have no doubt that it was the hay that burned first, but some barns have plastics in the fencing and feeders.

Whatever they do, it won’t be a pretty job

I was called out one morning with one of our excavators to dispose of 300 hogs that were in a fire over night

Dug a huge hole and several farmers chipped in to drag the carcasses out where I could scoop them in.

Then, i pulled the tin roofing over the top and squished them down and covered it all with dirt

Fortunately, I had a machine with climate control so I keep the door and windows shut
