We really don’t have the money to arm and rebuild Ukraine

Biden in 2022: "It’s going to allow pensions and social support to be paid to the Ukrainian people so they have something — something in their pocket."

Why doesn't Europe pay the Ukraine pensions???

Delta Force was originally all Special Forces troopers.

Here is an explanation for why Delta is called Special Forces, all of the original Deltas were Special Forces, Beckwith labeled them Special Forces as a way to hide the unit’s existence by titling it Delta Detachment to fit in with the already existing Special Forces, Alpha Detachment, Bravo Detachment, and Charlie Detachments, hence “Special Forces Operational Detachment – Delta.”.

Below are some excerpts:
“Why Delta Force is a Separate Entity from the Army Special Forces”
One of the most perplexing questions surrounding the highly secretive U.S. Army unit known as 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta, or Delta Force, is why it bears the name “Special Forces” despite not being part of the Army Special Forces. Despite its shrouded origins and elusive nature, Delta Force has gained a level of public recognition, often referred to as simply “The Unit,” “The Dreaded D,” or simply “Delta Force.” While its existence has never been officially confirmed.
(snip)
However, there is often confusion about why the unit is called Delta rather than Alpha or Bravo and why it is referred to as 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta if it is not part of the Army Special Forces.

The reason for this is simple. At the time of its creation, the U.S. Army Special Forces had Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie detachments. To maintain operational security, Colonel Charles Beckwith, the first Delta commanding officer, decided to name the new unit the “1st Special Forces Operational Detachment – Delta.”

Since then, the unit has had several other names, including Combat Applications Group (CAG), Delta Force, “The Unit,” and most recently, “Army Compartmented Elements” (ACE). It should be noted that the unit is not part of the 1st Special Forces Command, the higher headquarters responsible for Army Special Forces Groups, Civil Affairs, etc.

Ukraine is unlikely to stop taking money as long as congress approves it. I think there is a responsible way for the US to provide weapons, especially if Trump is in the WH, but speaking for myself, Biden and the uniparty would be happy to spend us into the poorhouse. Apparently they still love “nation building.”

"Russia doesn’t have the conventional military forces to invade and occupy Europe, which has a total population and GDP equal to the US."

If Russia took Ukraine, that could change. There are natural resources including much more arable land, people and warmer water ports. The arable land alone, for example, is necessary to feed other nations in Africa and the Middle East. Russians have recently been taught by the government there to hate the Poles more than anyone else.

Look at how little the Germans had between World War 1 and World War 2 and how quickly things got out of hand. Also how quickly the Soviet Union became a threat with nuclear weapons.

"Why are we footing the lion’s share of the costs?"

That's true as compared to Europe. Europe has collectively contributed nearly as much so far but not as much. And not enough. Europe should be contributing more.

As for Afghanistan and Iraq, how much influence would Iran have, if the coalition hadn't intervened. Remember Hussein's attitude towards the U.S. before the first Gulf War, not to mention the invasion and occupation of oil resources in Kuwait.

Nations are starting fights over oil resources, food resources and ocean routes. We knew that was coming. Look at what China has been doing: moving to control ocean routes little by little. We don't need a world in the near future, where our great-grandchildren are truly "going it alone" against nearly the whole planet. NATO and other alliances are necessary.

As for the domino effect, we're seeing it in action right here, and we all know it. Russia's first move is to saturate a target country with propaganda. It's next move is to control the politics of the target nation.

Leftists get us into world wars by cowering and moving like pond water against the threats. Wilson was one notable example. He campaigned on keeping the U.S. out of the War. After attacks against U.S. merchants and efforts to ally with Mexico by promising assistance with invading the U.S., the Wilson Administration was pushed to go back on its promise. Same kind of situation developed in World War 2.

"Now that we have debunked the Green Beret angle we know that those 14 people could be all kinds of different things, from boat operators to aviation people, military intelligence, civil affairs, specialists in communication and psyops, technicians, and trainers, who knows."

And supply specialists and accountants.

I think another Trump Administration would handle the situation in Europe better, if his people would keep the maggots out this time. Sorry I doubted your loyalty.

We tend to generalize sometimes after receiving enough personal insults and false accusations from others who do support Russia against the U.S. Quite a few individuals here have stated their wishes against our country and in favor of Russian expansionism. Some have described the Kremlin as some kind of religious savior against social corruption in our society.

Russia won’t save us. We need to do it ourselves with an honest campaign that doesn’t insult the intelligence of our readers.

Give it up, Ansel. All the services have special forces: there’s Marine Recon, the Air Force PJ’s, etc. They all fall under SOCOM. As a retired Navy Intelligence Officer, I can tell you definitively that the Navy has five types of Special Forces: rescue swimmer, EOD tech, diver, SEAL, and combat craft crewman (Special Boat Teams.) The Green Berets may be referred to as Special Forces in the Army, but they don’t own the word. The terms Special Forces and Special Operations are used interchangeably in the Navy. Check out the navy.mil website if you don’t believe me.

There isn’t anything to give up.

The Navy has various special operations units as do all the services.

Navy SEALs for example are a Special Operations unit, as are Special Forces and the Rangers.

https://www.uso.org/stories/3143-above-and-beyond-what-to-know-about-special-operations-forces-and-special-forces
“Is Special Operations the same as Special Forces?”
Despite common vernacular, these two terms are not interchangeable. Special Operations Forces include all units that fall under the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) - which includes Special Forces, also known as the Army’s Green Berets.”

A US Army SF ODA team consists of 12 personnel... the number being 14, as leaked, may include 2 FAC’s providing CAS.

I highly doubt that there are ONLY 14 US MIL personnel in Ukraine.

The place is likely crawling with CIA paramilitary teams and those lovable private contractors stacked with former special forces operators from all branches of US MIL, and from counterparts in allied MIL special forces.

Also, bordering NATO countries would be the PIPELINE for staging and have an unknown number of MIL personnel by an order of magnitude in size greater than what’s covertly in Ukraine.

I fear that if we continue sending billions of dollars to Ukraine, it might eventually become as corrupt as Washington, DC.

Roger that. Anyone who has witnessed this same playbook before knows that the US is far more deeply involved in the war than portrayed by our corrupt, incompetent foreign policy team. When will we have our Gulf of Tonkin moment?
