In WW2 the communists had political officers in their divisions. So great was their influence they could over-ride the commander on tactics.

After getting it handed to them by the Germans the commies realized that strategy took precedence over politics. Stalin is rumored to have said even communists must adhere to strategy.

Sometimes you have to lose to win.

When we get into the war with China and we get our butts whipped....maybe....just maybe....we'll refocus our efforts on winning.
