Cool project from Toyota. I’ve had a look at their hydrogen fuel cell tech from time to time.
So they’ve solved the fake sea level rise problem.
Toyota knows how to make money on good product.
Hydrogen gas stations are no problem.
There’s little market though, so few of them.
I just intercepted signals
Hooray! A genius way to lower rising sea levels!!!
Just what we need out there roaring up and down the highways ... does anybody remember the Hindenburg?
I see no reason to abandon the internal combustion engine. However, hydrogen powered cars are a better option then these stupid electric cars powered by batteries made from raw materials from china.
Oh, so true. Never ask that question of an ideologue. It sends them into counseling every time. None of them wants to admit the existence of the Carnot cycle, which says a large amount of waste energy have already been expended before any electricity is produced.
Where does the electricity come from?Teslas
.
Liar, tricity comes from the metaverse.
I haven’t been keeping up on fuel cell technology, fuel cell technology was interesting to me because it has no moving parts and it just runs on hydrogen in it outputs water that’s the only waste product that it makes an electricity. The downside don’t fuel cells was the weight was extremely high and there was a high corrosive Factor going on in the fuel cells, my understanding is that some of these technological problems have been solved with some of the same technology that was being used in lithium ion batteries and similar EV batteries, but it turns out that it’s much more effective in solving the fuel cell issues that it was the EV battery problems.
I think that might have been fun, occasionally.
That’s called a fuel cell, it’s been around for years.🙄
Hydrolysis using electricity makes hydrogen that can be stored. That is a virtual storage system for solar systems, wind systems and tidal systems. No longer will expensive battery systems be required. When you consider the energy losses when you follow electricity generation from the source, through the transmission lines, through the distribution system and into the recharging circuitry, you have little return for the energy created. Converting electricity into hydrogen is much more efficient.
How about hydroelectric using tidal action. Each tidal cycle creates massive amounts of electricity that can create hydrogen through hydrolysis. Once the electrical energy to hydrogen, you now have an energy storage system.
Free energy machines. They really work but Big Oil has suppressed them.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
Nuclear reactors could produce enough electricity to accommodate.
While they’re at it - they could also power desalination plants that would provide fresh water for agriculture instead of draining aquifers.
But…alas - it makes too much sense.
I like it. I’ve often thought about that. All my efforts to envision it seem unwieldy; but there’s no doubt about the amount of energy available w/ the ocean’s rise and fall.
