US OFFICIALS are investigating the leader of an online forum where a massive trove of Pentagon documents was leaked.
Jack Teixeira, 21, is a member of the intelligence wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard, reports The New York Times.
He oversaw an online group called Thug Shaker Central where approximately 30 people - mostly young men and teens - shared a love of guns, racist memes and games.
Two US officials reportedly confirmed investigators want to talk to Teixeira about the leak.
Teixeira has not been officially named as a suspect.
He is enlisted in the 102nd Intelligence Wing of the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

We don’t know this guy’s personality. He may be an ego-centric, looking for adulation from his peers, a really immature personality who had no business being anywhere near classified information.
That would call to question his superiors who vetted him.

I don’t care either way. I see information as important for ALL Americans to know. There are entirely too many secrets, making the term meaningless.
Probably had access to other user access via other means. That could be a wide net in terms of access, but there are ways.

That question and answer are so overly broad that they are not true.
Compartmentalized Pentagon Data is a whole new category of intel. It’s so new that it doesn’t exist. And yes, a reservist can have access to just about any info as long as he has the proper clearance and the need to know.

There is no such MOS, especially in the ANG, that could concievably “need to know” any of that.

Again, you don’t know what his assignments were. You are generalizing. There are several conceivable and reasonable scenarios in which he could have had access to that information. You are incorrect.
I’ve held a TS since 94. I know what I’m talking about.
There are levels to this...first there are hand written text documents that were posted just to the Discord group. Next there were digital images of actual documents that were posted on Discord and migrated to 4Chan. Finally there were 'edited' versions of the digital images that got posted on 4Chan and Telegram.
There is also a lot more stuff than just the latest Ukraine war news that hasn't been reported on...plus the fact that the Discord group was comprised of at least 50% foreign nationals.
My understanding is that the information posted on the Discord group is the most accurate.
More likely (imo) the leaker was being 'fed' bad intel without knowing it...but who knows at this point. Reality Winner had access to a database of intel outside her purview, iirc.
The WaPoo released an interview with a member of this group, who says he knows the guy. The kid was a minor and the WaPoo says they had to get his mom’s permission for the interview, which was anonymous.
And the FBI still doesn’t know which house to raid at 5am.

Why is a 21 year old national guardsmen in possession of documents that are supposed to be difficult for people in the Pentagon to get a hold of?
Is there gross incompetence going on with security?
Was it disinformation?
Is he someone’s patsy?
I was 18 with a Top Secret SCI. It was taken seriously. But I had a full background check done, at that time (mid-late 1980s), by the FBI. My former boss was freaked out when he was called to the front office to talk to the agent. Trying to figure out why the Feebs would want to talk to him.
